Trash bin with plastic joints break easily

This trash bin has plastic joints and grips that breaks easily after a few months. I contacted the customer service and they sent new ones but the plastic joints continue to break so this item is not worth to buy. Poor materials.

Excellent in-cabinet option. Easy installation. Put bracket in place, Measure, mark locations for holes, drill holes, install screws, slid brackets into receiver holes, clip retention brackets and handle into place…done! My wife installed it in 15 minutes with me giving her pointers…I bought her tools for the house and she was determined to use them!

The carriage works very well. It has a solid yet smooth feel to it.

About 3 months since install. Works well, smooth glide. Installation was challenging as our cabinet was narrow, so the screws were hard to see. Otherwise have been pleased with this purchased!

don't bother with the handle

It's very durable, I like that. It comes with a handle to pull it open, I don't like that. The soft close with the handle makes it hard to pull out so my husband fixed it so the soft close doesn't work and we just pull it out by the can. It works hard and you have to bend to use the handle. Design flaw in my opinion.

Great Soft Closing Mechanism.

The metal tracking system is much better than the one installed with the original out of the box cabinet system. The soft closing works really well as a result. I had it fitted by a professional carpenter.

Go for the Upgrade

I bought this lesser expensive option for pull out trash. It lasted about two years before the plastic parts broke. First, the handle then the side bracket. I spent another $48 to buy the metal bracket attachment for the cabinet door so I can still use the slide without buying a whole new shelf. Slide still works fine.

This rollout is great. Only reason it’s not a 5 star is one of the side rods keeps falling out if it’s holder. It rolls fine, just a little irritating to put the rod back in place. Some glue should do the trick.

I added the door mounting hardware (purchased seperately) and teenaged me would be very disappointed to know how excited a pull-out garbage make me. I should have done this years ago.

Great Concept, poor quality

We have had this pull out system for about 2 years now, during that time all of the plastic connectors holding the frame in place have broken. We have tried to find replacements but they are not available. At this point the whole design no longer stays together. Recommend finding a sturdier product.

This was a great addition to our kitchen. We are using this for our trash cans. We stored our trash cans in the same spot previously, but this unit makes the cans more accessible. It’s nice to be able to pull out the trash cans and replace the liners with ease.

Bought the additional kit to attach the front door panel. Well worth it for the clean aesthetic it brought to this space. Installed as instructed. Was able to adjust the door panel easily. Looks as if this space always had a hidden trash bin

Very well made product. These Rev-A- Shelf items are usually quite expensive, but cabinetry and rolling hardware made with tight tolerances is hard to get correct on the cheap. It installed really easily and everything fit together perfectly.

Assembly Problem!

Guess what? My Rev-A-Shelf was assembled BACKWARDS! So the front bin protruded past the cabinet face, and the door mounting kit didn't work correctly. I've been a professional cabinetmaker for many years. I read and reread the installation instructions, and began to think about possible modifications. After staring at it for a long time, though, I finally saw the problem. I unscrewed and reversed the bottom frame. Everything works. Somehow, this one got past quality control.

I ordered the Rev a Shelf Double Pull Out Kitchen trash containers and the Cabinet door attachment kit. Both arrived on time in great condition. Assembly/ install was easy and completed project works great and looks great. Rev A Shelf designs and manufactures their products to be strong, streamlined and easy to install. And this pullout slides work perfectly and quietly. Highly recommended.

We just moved into a new house, which does not pull out trash cans. I was so happy to see Wayfair carries a variety of size is in choices. This particular size works really well in our cabinets by the sink. Entire unit is very sturdy and very easy to install.

The perfect solution for my trash and recycles.

This combo is the perfect solution for collecting my trash and recycles. The construction is over-the-top strong, sturdy, and handsome. The combo containers fit perfectly under my sink. I must admit I took plenty of my measurements making sure their measurement would fit in my space. I can't believe the slides use long-lasting ball bearings that roll smoothly. The finish is long-lasting too. It was so easy to put this together. It came with great instructions that made it easy to assemble and install. This handsome, well-made product will last me a long time.

Manufacture changed the self closing drawer slides they’re not as good as quality as the previous one I am replacing that was about four years old. You can physically see the difference and functionally tell that is why I’m not giving it a five rating on the product. It’s a manufacture issue, all about profits! Shipping time was excellent Wayfair was great!

I installed this pullout in an 18" white shaker cabinet, and it worked out great. Installing in an 18" wide cabinet will ensure that the bins clear the door hinges so that there is no interference. I read other reviews where customers installed this pullout in an 15" wide cabinet, and the tops of the bins interfered with the top hinge. If you have no choice but to install in an 15" wide cabinet, options are either move the top hinge of the cabinet a little lower to clear the top of the bins, or buy shorter bins to clear the top hinge. Sometimes we don't have a choice but to work with what we already have. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this after-market kit.

This does not mean that other 15" wide cabinet brands are not compatible with this accessory. I wanted to share my experience in order to help other customers make the right choices and save a little time and hassle. If you have no choice but to install this kit in an 15" wide cabinet, options include moving the top hinge down in order to clear the top of the bins or purchase shorter bins to clear the top hinge. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this after-market kit.
