This is the second ceiling medallion I?ve bought for our house and I love having them. I painted mine and added gold leaf. This one is either a pvc type material or the primer was waxy, so I had to prime it first.

Looks great

Really light weight and fragile feeling but had no problem or damage with installation. We recently had our ceilings refinished and Installed new light fixtures, I did not use adhesive to attach the medallion but used the light canopy itself to press it against the ceiling when fixture hardware was tightened. It was a little difficult holding both while wiring the fixture but the finished product looked great. The color was also the same matte white and perfect match to our new ceiling paint so we did not paint it. It does however need to be caulked around the perimeter to give It a finished appearance.

Lovely for my Chandelier

Perfect for my chandelier and made my room light up. Nice quality. My chandeliers 4 canopy is slightly over the medallion but still looks nice. It isn?t flush though. If you want to have your canopy flush with the medallion, a 3.5 or 3.75 canopy would work well.

I could not find out the diameter of our fan, yep, too large to fit in diameter of Medallion. Already had painted it. So with a jig saw, made the diameter a bit larger to fit the fan we bought.

These medallions are easy to put up and look just like a plaster medallion without all the weight and mounting issues. We get a lot of compliments on them.

Tasteful product, good value

I used these medallions in a 1920's house I remodeled. It was a 2 story brick with limestone headers over every opening so it had a traditional Tudor type of appeal. However, the interior had been modernized around 1975 with drywall only and very little in the way of accents and moldings I put one of these in every room with an overhead fixture and it made good contribution that added some elegant touches for not much money. Theses were very affordable and more attractive than anything else in the price range. Easy to install with a little liquid nails and drywall screws. They are a definite "must" for a quick touch of charm.
