Randomly broke. CS offered a useless solution.

Randomly one day the back where the battery is located popped off and would not close back up. The mirror would also not turn on. CS said it was a swollen battery and offered me a 30% discount for $149.50. Not only can I purchase it on the website now for $115 so the “30% discount” makes no sense, but I don’t think customers should be forced to repurchase products when it is not due to user error. These are pricey mirrors and shouldn’t break unless the user drops it or does some sort of damage to it. But this issue is simply due to faulty product. If a $20 mirror broke I wouldn’t mind but more expensive items should come with higher quality.

Great product if you are looking for a social media set up.

I love Riki loves Riki. I have had two of the productsgie years. Unfortunately my favorite had a mysterious separation tragedy. The mirror separated from the back in g and fell off. Cracking and chipped. I had it for 5 years. So I branched out to the Riki Skinnie. Not as great as my original.

mediocre quality at a premium price

This is an okay mirror and since I paid so much for it I will keep using it but boy does it have problems! First, the charging port in mine is wonky and I have to fiddle with it to get the mirror to take a charge. Second, the stand that comes with the mirror is ridiculously flimsy. It cracked within a few weeks of purchase and broke entirely soon after, despite my engineer of a husband’s attempts to salvage it. Overall I expected problems like this from a drugstore, not Nordstrom’s.

Good quality mirror

I have several Riki mirrors and this one is as good as the others! Great lighting and good quality. Is it travel friendly? Well it depends what kind of traveler you are, the Riki Skinny is bigger and thicker than an iPad Pro, for this reason I would probably only travel with it when going to a single destination vs. a busy itinerary with multiples stops. (A beach house vs a European tour) The Rikki Skinny is convenient for some hotels or vacation rentals where you may not have a vanity or dedicated space, because you can have a magnifying and a regular mirror to do your makeup in any table without hoarding the bathroom to yourself. For longer trips I’ll continue to use my 8 year old Riki Graceful, which is very light and compact and continues to work like day 1.

Go ahead and buy it!!!

I was trying to decide between this mirror and a similar one by Impressions I had seen in store. So glad I chose Riki! This mirror exceeded my expectations and was WAYYY brighter than the Impressions. It’s the perfect lighting for doing makeup! I can see myself clearly and see everything I’m doing. Love how slim and travel friendly it is too. Definitely will be purchasing the Pretty or Tall mirror from Riki in the future as well. I’m so glad I took the chance, the craftsmanship is worth the investment.

Best Makeup Mirror

I have owned 2 of these mirrors over the last 10 years and cannot rave enough about it. It's an investment, but worth every cent. It is so thin and light, but very bright and durable, perfect for doing makeup anywhere . It's very portable (I travel with mine in a slightly padded laptop case) and easy to setup with the stand it comes with. Highly recommend! *****

BEST MIRROR EVER

This is one beauty item of mine that i can’t live without. I’ve had this mirror for a couple of years and i use it daily. The light is super bright and i love the sleek design. Had one issue with it not charging after two years and they sent me a brand new mirror! I will definitely be ordering again if my mirror ever goes out bc i truly can’t live without it.

Amazing quality, essential for content creators

My Riki is absolutely gorgeous. Not only is it a necessity from content creation for my beauty business, I can go live anywhere I want with all of the attachment tools. The lighting on this Riki is next level. Best of all, no more round ring light reflection! My favorite has to be the stand. The mirror attaches so well and it looks gorgeous both on camera and off.

Poor Quality

I love the brightness and the magnification of the magnetic mirror, but the first one had to be sent back because the battery was swollen, then they sent a replacement, battery life didn't last past 30mins after a few months and the stand won't stay up. They sent a 3rd and it is having the same issue with the battery and the stand is broken again. I give up! Can't believe a mirror at this price point has so many issues.

A great product w/ a couple tweaks

Overall the product is great. I’d love if the stand was more adjustable. The bottom is rubber and allows some adjusting, I find that it slips and I end up re-adjusting. I wish the magnets on the main mirror allowed me to position the magnifying mirror nearer the top of the mirror or less in the center of the mirror.

Nice and yet

Nice mirror with multiple bright lighting selections. I especially love the magnified mirror option, it makes an enormous difference in grooming those tiny hairs and precise makeup application.

Bad battery within a year

This mirror is beautiful. I love how bright the lights are and I love the 10x mirror attachment. However, I've had a couple of problems that made me regret buying this mirror. First of all, the stand broke. The mirror is too heavy for the flimsy stand. I reached out to Riki and they sent me a replacement stand. The more serious problem is that the battery is swollen. I bought this mirror in 2022. The battery should not have gone out within a year. I have charged the mirror only when needed with the charging cable and adapter that came with the mirror. I never kept it on the charger once it was charged. I've reached out to RIki so we'll see what they say.

The mirror is fine. Will be useful to travel. The case I ordered is a different story. It will not hold the stand nor the cord and plug for the mirror. In addition one side of the carrying strap in coming out. This is the 3rd mirror I’ve bought will NOT be shopping here again because of the disappointment with this case! I deducted 3 stars because of the case!!!

The stand is junk

While I like this mirror, the stand is plastic junk. This is the second time it has broken. The stand is an integral part of making this mirror usable. For the price, I would hope that Riki could make a stand that will not break. Again, I have to prop it up against something but that precludes being able to angle this mirror at all.

The absolutely BEST lighted mirror. The wide dimensions coupled with five levels of amazing luminescence make this the PERFECT travel mirror. Charge lasts a long time. I use at home daily for make up application as well. The magnification mirror is a great bonus. I chose the 5x magnification, but will also be getting the 10. A great gift for your teenage daughters!

Great Customer Service on Product Issue

The only reason the Riki Skinny didn’t receive 5 stars was the fact there was a problem with the function of my mirror. Love everything about it: Great size, perfect lighting, easy to charge, the bonus accessories are useful…it just didn’t last very long for the price before I had a problem with the mechanics of the device causing it to no longer work or charge. That said, the two women that assisted me on the customer service team (Pauline Jamaica Bautista and Phoebe Lyra Baron) were terrific and helped me complete what was necessary, through the website, in order to replace the faulty product. They were pleasant, responsive and handled my situation quickly and I am thrilled to have received the replacement mirror today! Great job standing by your product Riki Loves Riki and satisfying me, the customer! Would definitely recommend the Riki Skinny to any person shopping for a great vanity/makeup mirror! I bought mine by referral from my sister and my niece who both have Riki Loves Riki products and love theirs as well. The compartment of the rear seemed to warp which caused expansion of the inner mechanicals causing the door to the compartment to pop off. As a result, the device no longer was charging and I could no longer use the light functions. Hoping this does not become an issue again with the replacement because I absolutely love the product!

I love this mirror!! I have looked high and low for this and finally found what I was looking for. Added bonus - got a sample sale mirror so got an even better price than I expected to pay for it. Honestly I would have paid just about anything for this mirror. Well - almost! I had to stay in my budget and getting a used/sample mirror just made me want to do a happy dance!! Thanks Riki!!!

Meh...not real impressed.

Bought a sample sale mirror last year or so, I am now on my THIRD mirror because the first two didn't work. The first one, charging port wouldn't work, sent a replacement mirror. Second mirror, would go extremely bright, then turn off repeatedly, sent a replacement. Third mirror is doing the same thing as the second. I'm about over all this having to replace a mirror. I do love my mirror, but even for the sample sale price, I expect a mirror to actually WORK. Sent an email yesterday about this last mirror and still waiting on a reply. I'm about to just ask for a refund or something and buy another brand. :(

The Very Best!

I have bought quite a few of the lighted mirrors and this is by far the very best. I didn't think I had enough vanity space for it, but finally bit the bullet and ordered it and I won't be buying any others. It does fit on my vanity and the size is awesome. I love the magnifying mirror that comes with it. I use that for my eye makeup (I'm 73 and need that magnification). The large part of the mirror is just perfect! I am so pleased with this mirror!

Not packaged well

The box the mirror comes in was sent in a bigger box and there was not any additional packaging materials to keep it from moving around inside the bigger box, or any packing materials to absorb impact during shipment. Because of this, my expensive mirror arrived completely shattered. I am still working with customer service to get this resolved as every time I try to make a claim with route, route gives me an error and doesn't submit it. For a mirror that's supposed to be travel friendly, mine couldn't even get to me in the first place without shattering, so I would be wary to get this for travel.
