Very pretty, but thick

This is a very pretty medallion, but its very thick. I thought I could install it myself, but need to call an electrician to put in a longer fixture screw to accommodate this.

Beautiful on my ceiling!

The 2 pieces were exactly the right size to fit under the cap of my dining room ceiling light. No adhesive was neccessary as the cap holds them in place. We used some spackle to smooth out the line where the 2 piece meet. I DID paint the pieces white before installing them which made them brighter. Overall this was an easy install & really a beautiful asset to my dining room!

Great product.

I was worried that the line would show where the pieces fit together. But it doesn?t . Cannot tell it not plaster . I would recommend using a quick set up silicone or glue. It can get hard to hold in place while waiting for it to dry and adhere to ceiling.

HORRIBLE!!!! It did not fit my space and there was no size to select, yet they claim this piece is "made to order"! YOU CANNOT RETURN THESE CEILING MEDALLIONS! DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE IT WILL FIT YOUR SPACE!!!! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT!!! CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!!!

Nice design but odd size canopy required.

A nice design but requires 4.5" canopy. Most canopies are 5" dia so difficult to find a fitting canopy. I ended up buying a 5" canopy and cut it down with a tin snips to make it fit this medallion.

Beautiful Architectually Detailed Ceiling Medallion

Beautiful detailed design for a Victorian Home. Excellent and durable! It truly adds elegance to any room! Very affordable!!

Stunning?

This medallion is beautiful but took some effort to get installed. My husband used screws that he pre- drilled to hang. Had to use filled for the seam and around where medallion meets ceiling. Looks great !

Stunning piece!

This medallion looks absolutely gorgeous on the ceiling around my chandelier. I really love the intricate details and carving on the medallion. I am a person who appreciates fine design and nice finishing touches, and this really scored. The opening was a little to small to fit my chandelier cover, so the guy who put up the fixture carved out a bit of the opening and made it an inch bigger. I believe most chandelier covers will not fit into this opening so you might have to carve it out as well.The color is very nice, and I did not even have to paint it, as it matched nicely with my linen white ceiling.Bottom line, I am extremely happy with my purchase, this definitely adds the finishing touches to an already beautiful room!

Absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful and well made! It was absolutely stunning with the chandelier that were purchased for my six year-old's room remodel! Shipping could have been better as it was just thrown in a box with bubble wrap wrapped around it ( not very thick). I'm actually surprised that it did not break but it is very sturdy!

looks beautiful. Bought for my mother. It's deeper in the center then others I've purchased so make sure you consider this when you are wiring and mounting. You may need to purchase a longer mounting screw (not sure of the technical term for it).

Who Could Ask for Anything More

I love the way this medallion shows off my painted roses and crystal chandelier in my dining room. The epitome of beauty and class. I wondered how it would stay up without any nails, glue etc., but the lamp held it up beautifully without any help. You wouldn't know from looking at it that it isn't made from cement. One of the best buys I have made!

If you are wondering, this is essentially a high quality dense styrofoam mold of an antique medallian. However it is very durable. And looks real. And nice. I was unclear on this before I bought it.

Hard to believe but it has been five years since I ordered five ceiling medallions and chair rail from your company and I can say only very positive things about my experience and the product! I love the medallions and receive compliments frequently.

Would be a 5 Star if I was rating on Beauty alone. Its Gorgeous... (with a tiny but...)

This almost gets a 5 star rating (because of its beauty), but with a tiny caveat: I think they could have allowed some more space inside of the cutout to allow for chandelier hardware. It was a LOT of work to get our chandelier to actually attach to its base in the ceiling because of the thickness of the middle of the cutout. Some VERY tired arms resulted. But now we have something that looks like it belongs in an English manor house on our ceiling and it adds SO much to the room. For beauty and solidness and sturdiness, its a 10 STAR... for ease of use with the standard chandelier hardware, it needed a bit more space and only gets 4 stars

Wow, this brings so much refinement and beauty to my little tea room. I purchased a chandelier from Kids Pottery Barn, I think it was the Alyssa and added this medallion and it is stunning. I am glad I chose this one with lots of decor because it really is delightful. If you want to really add some specialness and beauty to your chandelier, I highly recommend and medallion and this one is perfect. So glad I didn't get a plain one, I cant stop looking a it. And I didn't paint it or anything, just put it right up the way it came.

Lovely medallion. Lightweight but looks both substantial and sturdy. Be sure to map out the internal diameter to match the outer diameter of whatever light or fan you will be showcasing. Consider painting (or spray painting) if you have a white ceiling. The pattern or design of this particular medallion is pretty 8ntricate, so I would strongly urge anyone to coordinate the internal light carefully. --If it's also ornate, then you risk looking overly don3, so to speak. Overall, it's a great piece!

This is a very pretty medallion. The detailed artwork is lovely. I installed the medallion in my dining room to provide a more formal environment. I used adhesive to affix to the ceiling and let dry for 24 hours with supports in place. I then caulked around the medallion to provide a smooth and solid edge. I finished by painting the same color as the ceiling.

I got this to install with a new chandelier in my dining room. I can't say how much it kicked the project up a notch. It looks very elegant and much more expensive looking then without it. I was impressed on how well made it was and the detail of the design. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a lovely, decorative touch to a plain ceiling. I had it professionally installed since I don't do ladders well and I rarely touch electricity unless I am changing a switch out. These come in a variety of designs so there is something to suit all tastes. I liked it so much, I may put one in the master BR when I have it painted. I can see it would be difficult to clean if there Is a smoker in the house. Too many nooks and crannies to collect nicotine. I will have to wait and see if dust is going to be an issue.

I am SO very happy that I chose this particular medallion. Sometimes you can find these ceiling medallions that just don't seem as pretty or intricate, but, the intricate and deep detail in this particular one, is definitely there. It really reminds me of old the "Old World Victorian Charm", that often can be missing in modern building today. And because, I love little details and charm, this fits right into my decorating style! It really stands out with my crown moulding and accents in my newer home.
