I just completed my "man cave", a 24 X 16' workshop, complete with HVAC, a sink and a "water closet" that includes a Kohler Dexter urinal and Sloan 186 flush-o-meter. When my general contractor, a woman, asked, "Why on earth would you want a urinal in your workshop?", I explained that it was a "man thing". The Sloan valve is a classic: solid, well made and completely functional. It's nothing fancy, but every male has encountered this classically designed flush valve in many commercial applications. And, by golly, I wanted to have one in my man cave. Be aware that the model 186 is for a 1" top spud urinal. My urinal actually was 3/4", so I had to purchase a replacement vacuum assembly for the output and reduction bushing for the input. For my particular urinal, the Kohler Dexter, Sloan makes a 3/4" unit that would have required no conversion. But, for anyone that is "in to" plumbing, nothing beats the classic Sloan Flush-o-meter. My buddy Larry came by to try it out and even he gave it "two thumbs up". By the way, my plumber had such a struggle converting the 3/4" rough-in to the 1" required by the Model 186, that I ended up installing this unit myself.

The Sloan Royal 186-1 is a great flushometer for urinals! Lots of power. Highly recommend!
