This planter box is a multi-functional and beautiful addition to any backyard. The included pole sleeve can accommodate a pole to hang lights or as an umbrella base. I chose to use it as an umbrella base. The assembly was simple and took less than ten minutes to complete. If you plan to use it as an umbrella base, weigh it down with gravel, sand, or potting soil. Garden fabric or landscape barrier can be used to keep everything in the box. The box itself is made so that excess water can drain through the bottom.

This extra large planter is a very versatile addition to your home. It comes with a pole sleeve (pole not included) that you can omit from the box and still use it. I prefer to use the box for a plant holder so during assembly I leave the pole sleeve off. The assembly is very simple and if you turn the box onto its side you will have an easy task. I used a drill instead of a standard Phillips head screw driver. A couple of the predrilled holes were not lined up correctly but the wood screws went in fine. I am happy with how it looks on my porch.
