Solid wood except the side rails

Very nice bed frame and easy to assemble. Only down side is the side rails are pressed wood. Was chipped when I received it. I have plans to make new side rails from 2x8s so not a huge problem.

Product was packaged properly to protect from damage during shipping. Goes to together perfectly predrilled holes with helicoil thread inserts.One upgrade in engineering would be to predrill holes add helicoils on side rails to secure slats easily thanks.

I was very skeptical in buying this bed frame as there were no reviews prior. All-in-all it’s a decent bed frame for the price. The supports have been able to hold up to myself, my s/o and our 2 larger dogs

Bed frame looks good and was what I was expecting. Reason for three stars is because one of the legs on the headboard was a 1/4” too big and the holes didn’t line up for assembly. I had to get a saw out and rip the leg down to make it work.

Well.....how to begin. This item should be give a 2.5 star rating because it is not solid wood as listed, but it doesn't allow that. First, the completed sum of this bed looks better than the individual pieces. I have taken many pictures for reference throughout the assembly process in order to help others considering this purchase. I personally would not buy again. I picked this bed because in the description it said solid wood; please be advised, IT IS NOT SOLID WOOD. It does have some solid wood components but the main headboard and footboard are some type of MDF and veneer paneling. One of the veneer panels had damage on my footboard. The box spring support beam are a very cheap plywood, and there are ZERO pilot holes to screw these supports into the bed rail. You may want to drill pilot holes for an accurate assembly and with the use of a carpenter's square. Time was not taken for a quality appearance of all sub-components. The box spring support feet that are screwed into the middle of the supports are not cut with a high tooth count blade, so you are able to see the effects of the rough cuts. The instructions leave a lot to be desired, so you will have to use common sense to complete the bed. The hardware is adequate for the assembly and they include the hex key needed to tighten the bolts. The placement of the bolt holes however should be redone to allow adequate spacing in order to tighten. I would say this bed takes about 1 - 1.5 hrs to complete depending on your level of experience and how good you want the bed to actually look once done. Some items should be available at the store before ordering online; this is one of them. And yes, I am aware that Home Depot is not a furniture store.
