the bar stools are perfect! they are sturdy and easy to assemble. they look even better in person than in the pic online. I had one stool delivered with missing parts and after one phone call I had a replacement delivered 3 days later. I am very pleased with my purchase!!

nice chairs

I love the look of these chairs to help bridge the gap between traditional and farmhouse, but they are 26 inch counter depth and are a bit too high. You feel like you're bending over to reach the counter top....they would be much better if they were at 24 inch instead of the 26.

I just love the Alaterre Furniture Newport 18 in. H Brown Rush Seat Wood Bar Stool, Light Amber, but the Stool dimensions, are 15 in. W x 15 in. D x 30 in. H not 18 in. The rush seat is made from twisted natural sea grass, and the legs are solid wood ,this stool is not only very sturdy ,its very comfortable to sit on can hold up to 200lbs.It also has floor levelers made of nylon great for wood floors. Easy to clean just wipe with damp cloth. This stool took me a little longer to put together because of how snug and tight the seat attaches to the legs I had to use some muscle to get it in place. This stool is very well made and will last a long time.

This Alaterre Newport counter stool is a perfect accent in our kitchen ! It is 26 inches tall, just right for under a kitchen island, counter or desk. The light amber wood and natural seagrass rush seat goes well with Industrial, Farmhouse, Rustic, Transitional and Traditional decor. There was little assembly required, just screwing the legs on the frame. It is built very sturdily with solid wood and even has a foot rail protector. It is versatile to be used just about anywhere in your home!

This bar stool is a great addition to any bar setup you may have as well as seating around a kitchen island.It is well made, the rush seat is firm with no sag and it has a metal foot support which is a nice touch. The body and legs are solid wood and easy to assemble. The legs are stained in a dark brown which give it a nice contrast to the light seat. The directions are a little confusing but over all give you an idea how its assembled. It is a sturdy stool that will last for years.

What a great looking stool this is! Wonderful counter height for snack bars, counter height tables, or other places where a tall stool is needed. My husband loves this as he is very tall and this makes it much more comfortable for him to sit at our counter to enjoy a meal. A very nice design with real wood and rush seating. It was very simple to put together. It is well made with even a cover where your feet rest to not spoil the wood.

Firstly this stool is 30 inches high. It is not 18. Which is okay since you can still use it as something other than a stool. You can put a tray on it and use it as a table. Perhaps a stretch but I like to see all the possibilities. I love the rattan top. One of the parts to put it together was not included. The instructions said put glue on the two foot rests. They fit into a hole in the legs. It really isn't necessary since there is a bolt. I wouldn't have thought to glue that anyway but I can see how packing glue might get messy too. I am giving it a 5 for design features of the wood especially. It looks like it is very rustic. Alot of indentations that is unique.

This ALATERRE FURNITURE NEWPORT 26 IN. H LIGHT AMBER WOOD COUNTER-HEIGHT STOOL WITH RUSH SEAT comes disassembled. It has instructions and comes with the Allen wrench that is used to hand tighten all the screws. It warns that no power tool can be used or the warranty will be voided.The instructions are fairly clear, however my stool came without the glue which was indicated in the instructions. I had some wood glue of my own I used instead. Also on the instructions it indicated there were two "E" screws for each inside corner, but there was only one hole drilled and only 4 of the "E" screws came with the stool, so I assumed the drawing was wrong.The instructions also say it should take 30 minutes to assemble, but it took me 55 minutes because one of the corner holes did not line up with the screw hole on the leg. I fought with that for quite a while and never could get that one corner screw to set all the way. This is why I gave the quality a 4 rating. Once assembled, the stool is very secure and steady and looks great in my bathroom vanity area, that's why I gave an overall rating of Excellent.I do like the amber wood finish and the cane seat is not only comfortable, but sturdy. One of the foot braces comes with metal on it, which should help to keep the stool looking fresh even if you are wearing stools while sitting on the stool. Less
