Excellent bed frame

I gave the product quality 2 stars, not because it isn't a beautiful bed frame, but because quality control seemed to be lacking in my order. . . Assembly initially seemed easy and straightforward, that is until i found out that on one of the headboard posts the holes for the lag bolts were drilled too small. As a result, the bolt inserts would not fit all the way into the hole, but was also so tight in the hole that i could not remove with pliers. I ended up cutting the portion left sticking out of the hole with a dremel. After this I was able to assemble it, but when laying the 2x4 slats across the frame I realized that two of them were warped, so the plywood boards that go on top were wobbly. . . Compounding this was the fact that it is for my cabin, and because I don't live there I had to make several trips home and back to get what was needed to fix. Now I will also need to get and cut 2 new 2x4s to replace the warped ones that came with it. . . I absolutely love the actual bedframe and it is exactly what I was looking for. In navigating these issues, I spoke with Montana Woodworks and they were friendly and sent a drill bit in case it was needed to re-drill the hole in the bedpost. I wasn't going to leave a negative review until the warped slat issue surfaced. This may have been a one-off, but it turned into a massive headache. Hopefully they can correct whatever happened with mine so it doesn't happen to others.

Worm wood and worms still eating it I have sprayed it but eating through the finish from the inside out very disappointed and grossed out not what we expected my son said he could hear the bugs or whatever it was chewing inside the post

Would have spent my good, hard-earned money buying a bed, but their lack of assembly services and delivery restrictions in NYC (of all places...) is rather disconcerting, and a turn-off. How long has this company been in business?

We love our new bedframe! It was exactly what we were expecting/hoping for: sturdy, beautiful, easy to assemble. The only issue we had was the delays in receiving it due to COVID, but it was worth the wait.

Well made and sturdier than expected. Only challenge was that the plywood & 2x4's that sit beneath the mattress shifted slightly when getting in/out of the bed. We used wood screws to secure the plywood to the 2x4's and added 2 additional 2x4's (only 3 included) for extra support. Looks fantastic!

Bed is better than expected!

I was pleasantly surprised to see Home Depot have this bed on their website to purchase! The quality is the same as bed like this bought on rustic furniture sites and for half the cost! It does take two people to assemble. The bed is very sturdy once it is all together. There is also room under the bed for storage bins, if desired. I went with just a mattress. There is no box spring needed for it has large plywood slats that come with it. It also states that it comes with six pieces in the specs description, but it is actually 8 or 9 (I forget). It does not count the 2x4's that support the slats. I mentioned this to the sales rep on the phone when I ordered it, but I can see it still states the same 6 pieces. I also left my bed posts on carpet sliders for when I need to move the bed to clean under it. It makes moving the bed very easily. Overall, I am very pleased!
