Light works well

The light works very well. However, to turn it on there is a small button on the back of the left side that you have to hold in to turn the light on and off. It be much more convenient if the light came on when you lift the lid. It takes 4 AA batteries that are not included.

Battery doesn't last

Great seat made out of high-quality materials, but the 4 AA batteries for the blue light lasted 4 days. I thought maybe I had put in old batteries and the same length of time for this set of batteries. Being a very small LED, you wouldn't think it would drain the batteries that quickly. Great idea, but it's not worth the cost to keep replacing batteries at such a fast turnaround.

This toilet seat does everything as advertised! Its soft close and quick release features are second to none. This toilet seat is very comfortable to sit on, I’ve spent hours on it. I definitely recommend.

Won't detach like it suppose too.

Very nice seat and the lights works perfectly so far. The only problem is the seat won't detach like it suppose too. I followed the instructions and still was not able to detach it without fear of breaking it. Really disappointing considering it was one of the reasons it was bought. Other than that, I am satisfied.

Mounting system is unacceptable

My old Kohler lighted toilet seat light fixture finally gave out (solid red with no timer), so I got this to replace its.

A little light on your business

This lighted seat provides enough soft blue light to navigate in the bathroom and take care of business. Bright enough even on the low setting. Batteries last 4-6 months and the new design allows changing without tools.

Don’t forget to order your toilet seat when ordering a new toilet bowl. Open up your boxes as soon as they are delivered to make sure what you ordered is what was delivered.

The Toilet seat works great. it handles all butt sizes perfectly. If you order a new toilet, remember to order a new toilet seat. They are two separate items. The sales person may believe you are going to use the toilet seat from your old toilet for the new toilet (even if they are a different color.) Also, always open up your boxes promptly to make sure everything you have ordered has been delivered. If you let the boxes lay around while waiting for the contractor come in and install everything, more than 30 days can pass. If there’s a discrepancy between what you ordered, and what was delivered, after 30 days, you cannot get your order fulfilled without repurchasing what was not delivered!

Beautiful toilet seat turning yellow

I purchased this toilet seat which was easy to install. After several months the toilet seat is turning yellow. I called Kohler and the product they have to clean it is being discontinued. They recommend vinegar and water but crazy about that because then cleaning the bathroom needs so many different cleaners. I asked if she would tell me what the ingredients were so I could maybe match with another product and she said it was proprietary and then hung up on me. Great customer service - NOT.

Parts did not match instructions

The toilet seat fits and was able to be secured to toilet. However, the hinge and screw parts were different than the instructions and even though the box said “nightlight” there was no battery pack or “on” button. This was the second seat I purchased as the first seat was missing the hardware and instructions all together. I mostly wanted to feature of being able to clip on and off the seat for easy cleaning, so I’m going to keep it…but not the worth the money if all the components are not present.

poor assembly

I purchase two and actually liked this seat a lot. With-in three months both assembly systems failed causing the lids to fall off and the seats were no longer stable. I put them back together but they would fall apart again. There was no excessive use, so this was surprising. I insisted on having a refund. I purchased a different Kohler seat.

Will inspect items more closely from now on.

I got the toilet seat from the shelf behind the display. I was almost out of the store when I thought the box felt heavy for a plastic seat. When I checked the carton, I found someone had cut the strap and glued it back together. The carton was correct , but the the toilet seat was replaced with another seat.This should have been discovered by someone before being placed back on the shelf for purchase by a Lowes customer.

It was easy to put on and fit toilet well even thought toilet was another brand. The night light worked well. The only problem was that I wasn’t able to figure out quick release for cleaning even though I followed instructions and I was scared to break it if I pulled too hard.

Waste of Money

Turns out when you buy a toilet seat and remove it from the packaging, you can't return it period. With this product, one must hold the seat in the upright position for about 15 seconds before it will stay upright. If not held, it comes down. Very annoying if you're a guy.

Lid has a raised detail design that says quality. There is an ergonomic difference and feel between this seat and the less expensive ones.

Nice but flimsy and not supported by Lowe's

Bought in November 2022, light is convenient, soft close nice but slow, install is easy and removal a snap. only problem is it broke 9 months later. It has a 1 year warranty, but Kohler says to contact Lowe's, but Lowe's won't do anything after 90 days except call Kohler for you except they're not open on the weekends so you'd have to go during business hours. Essentially useless, I bought a different one not from Lowe's.

Kohler Stands Behind Their Product

Kohler has been a top quality company for many years. I purchased two of these seats and within six months both seats cracked in two places. Because I'm the only person to use them and I'm a senior who weighs 115 lbs., I knew it had to be the quality of the product. I called Kohler's customer service and they sent out two new seats. I hope it doesn't happen again!

KOHLER Rutledge Quiet-Close Elongated Toilet Seat with Q3 Advantage

The “Product Overview” on the website is right on the money. The Rutledge toilet seat closes slowly and quietly, it is easy to install, easy to remove for cleaning (no tools required) and stays in place. It has a little bit of a rough feel on the front of the seat where the mold comes together, but I was able to smooth it out with ultra fine grade sandpaper. I bought 2 of them and they both had the rough finish. The overall quality is good and well worth the money.

This seat is very comfortable. You don’t realize how important this is until you’re tweet bombing at 2AM in defense of your fragile ego while losing track of time when your colon is spasming after binge eating fast food. Seriously, having your legs go numb is no laughing matter when you have to run down to the bunker because citizens are peacefully assembling across the street. Thanks to me, 2020 has been a year for the crapper. Why not make yours a bit more comfortable when you go and produce a representation of all I’ve done over the past 3 1/2 years? 5 stars.
