Much much darker than shown but great quality

I bought two for both sides of my bed knowing the beautiful lightness of the carpet would look so good in my bedroom. The light yellow is very dark gold and the lovely light clay color is deep burgundy. They are going in my kitchen now. The quality is wonderful. Warm, squishy under foot, perfect. Except for the dark somber color.

Nice thick rug with colors as pictures. Not too bright but bright enough to show the variation in colors. Got it for temple/prayer room and it looks perfect and created great ambience.

It's Not Yellow

The rug is good quality; I have no problem with that. But it is such a dark gold, it looks tan, not the cheerful yellow/gold I was expecting. The pictures are not remotely accurate and I am very unhappy. I am stuck with it, because a return would be ridiculously expensive to ship. Nor did seller schedule delivery, it was just left on the porch.

A beautiful beautiful rug!

I purchased this rug and a matching larger rug for my dining room and foyer. It is stunningly beautiful and looks many times more expensive than the price. The pattern is amazing and it is an intricate border. Perfect in every way and prettier at home than the picture on the site.

Well worth the money!

I have 4 of these rugs. I wanted a bigger one at the foot of my bed, hence this purchase. This is a beautiful high-end wool rug that I originally saw at Neiman Marcus for 4 times more money. I have had the other 3 for over 3 years now and they have held up beautifully. They are more gold-tone than yellow, very antique-looking. I love the rug!

SO Disappointed

I love oriental rugs and have others, but this particular item is a major disappointment. The picture online shows it to be bright, with a light beige background, when in actuality it is quite muddy and dark. I needed it to brighten up a dark floor; it does the opposite. Also, the floral designs are not as depicted at all. I needed the flowers to match with the artwork in the room. They are nonexistent. It's not worth it to ship it back due to the cost.

A high quality piece of textile art.

I am happy my new rug. I chose the 2nd largest size.. To be honest, it's darker than the photo and very, very heavy! It took both of us to unroll and move into position and had to vacuum it 4 times to get rid of the "fluff".. With that being said it I LOVE IT. It is a high quality piece of textile art. Rich in color, thick and soft underfoot. My beautiful new carpet is an investment that will be a delight to look at walk on and will last for years!

I am so glad I purchased this rug for my kitchen. I have a galley style kitchen so I was so excited to find just the right length. The colors were just what I needed and the rug is plush and not unexpected to see in a kitchen. I knew I wanted something more elegant than the usual rugs made for kitchens cause it opens into the dining room and into the hall which also have Aubusson rugs from Overstock in them. I recommend you purchase these rugs from Overstock and they always ship so quickly.

This is an absolutely beautiful rug and just what I wanted for my living room. It looks exactly like the picture. This is the third or fourth rug I've purchased from Safavieh and Overstock.com and I've not been disappointed yet. Shipping is fast and the quality of the rugs and the prices are unbeatable. It is a wool rug though, and so you have to be prepared for it to shed for a while.

I have bought numerous Safaviehwool rugs for my home. We just bought a new house with a large walk out basement den. The floors are Italian porcelain. I ordered these rugs because of the wool fabric and the thick pile. They look amazing and are fine quality. The color is not quite asvibrant yellow like the phots online. However quality won out!

Purchased this in June and unrolled it in August. I love the colors and the feel of the rug. Beautiful. Negative - ordered 10x14. It actually measures 9' 4" x 13' 2". These few inches does make a difference for my furniture layout. Also, it does shed, but I expected this from a Wool Rug, so not taking any stars away for the shedding.

This is one of the most beautiful rugs I have ever seen! I'm so excited to have it, but there's only one thing wrong. I ordered the 5'x8' and I can't live with it. I need an 8'x10'. It's so exquisite I need more of it and if I could afford a larger size I would buy it, golly if I had big money I would buy every size and shape. It feels good under your feet and because it's real wool and authentic it can only appreciate in value. This will be and heirloom handed down in my family for years and the price is GREAT, every since I was a young girl I've wanted one and now I can afford one! HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY, ECSTATICALLY HAPPY!!!!

I've had this rug for about 10 years in a 4'x6' size. I love it so much; the colors go so well and add a cheery touch to my home office. Alas, I needed a larger area rug, so went online to find something as similar as possible. I was DELIGHTED to find this design is still available! I ordered the replacement 5' x 8' size and couldn't be happier. This is a lovely rug; great quality! I once accidentally cut my foot and got the rug all stained. It cleaned out perfectly and you would NEVER know there had ever been a problem. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Advertised Photo is Deceiving, re. COLORS

I bought the rug precisely for, what appears to be, the pale yellow background in the advertised photo, as the walls in the room it was purchased for are painted that exact color. I was very disappointed when rug arrived. It is a very nice, quality rug; however, the colors in advertised photo are very deceptive. There is NO 'pale yellow' / or even 'pale gold' background .... it's more a dark tan, taupe color. In fact, all colors in rug are much darker than depicted in photo. Because of this, I'm very disappointed. If you're NOT concerned with colors being off from what is pictured, it's a lovely rug. If you're buying it FOR the colors you see in photo, you'll be sorely disappointed. Again, all colors - especially the pale yellow - are much darker than expected based on advertised photo. As such, I would not have purchased.

Well first of all the color is more beige than how it appears in the picture so the color variation is extreme. I could live with this. But the amount is shedding is so extreme that is fills up the entire vacuum container. I wonder if there will eventually be holes in the rug with the amount of shedding. I am also concerned that this is going to contribute significantly to my allergies.

The colors were disappointing different from the online photos.I planned on using them as small rugs next to each side of my bed as an accent to the room and my bedding. Because they were didn't work there I utilized them as accents to my walk-in closet far enough away that it carried the color theme without clashing. The two 2 x3, worked for my walk in closet. I love their true Aubusson look, and they carried off making my room look bigger upon entering. Safavieh says quality with every rug that I have purchased from Overstock which happens to also have the BEST PRICES. I will research at least 5 sites for the best price as I am a minimalist and want quality over quantity and the best bang for the buck. The pile is very nice and thick, didn't shed, and didn't show dirt. I didn't have to use a rug mat due to the thickness of the rug and it allowed me to close the closet door. When I receive something that doesn't match my original intention there is ALWAYS a place where it will work.

UGLY...... If I could give this rug a minus 5 I would. I have never given anything form WayFair a bad review even when arriving damaged and different. This rug looks nothing like the colors, design it looks like a used, dirty rug. I would describe it as urine soaked or Tea stained. It is BROWN and RUSTY red and so so DARK . This should be take OFF of the site as it is misleading and truly a disappointment when arrived. I read the reviews before ordering an thought the negative was just someone unhappy. They are 110% correct. I can only assume it comes it different styles and designs in the size you oder.

Beautiful plush rug with rich deep colors! Looks great under my dining room table and looks very expensive. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it took quite a long time for it to finally lay flat. There were lots of bumps and ripple in the center but after vacuuming it SEVERAL times and with the weight of my table, it eventually straightened out. The price was far below even the discount stores like Home Goods and Tuesday Morning. Would highly recommend this rug!

Lovey rug, it arrived super fast and well wrapped. It is the perfect size for what l wanted it for. The colors are definitely a much darker shade than what's shown so if you are aware of that you will not be expecting a very bright rug. I had read the reviews so l was prepared but it was even darker that l had though. It is a beautiful rug and very well made. The color also lightens when my light is on so lm sure when the summer comes it will look like this in the daytime and other times look darker. Very pleased. I bought it for the foyer but may move it to the upstairs folder as that gets more natural light.

Not as pictured

I do not think there is anything wrong with the product. I have other rugs from this manufacturer. However the rug that I ordered pictured above is not what arrived. We tried 2 different shippings on this and got the same 3.5 x 3.5 rug that looks similar but not the same as the one pictured. The above rug states 4x4 so definitely did not receive that rug. I finally have sent back for a refund as I need the correct size for my area.
