Safavieh Heritage Linsey Traditional Wool Rugs

We bought Safavieh Handmade Heritage Linsey Traditional Oriental Wool rugs in the 8 ft runner, 6 ft runner & the 2x3 ft sizes. The aqua background color was very important to us as we wanted it to blend with our new ensuite bathroom. The main background color in this rug falls into this bluish-green colorway & works beautifully with Benjamin Moore's color: Spirit in the Sky 676. This rugs background color is made up of lots of gradations of color. Most of the colors in the rugs are more muted that the examples online although the bright gold pretty much holds true to the pics. The pattern is not a traditional Middle Eastern pattern but perhaps more from the continent of India? Not sure. As recommended, we allowed the rugs to rest for several days & yes indeed, they did relax & flatten out. There was a little 'wool' odor initially, but that soon dispersed. Our stick vac does not have the option of turning off the sweeper and yes, there is a lot of wool swept up when we vacuum them but it doesn't seem to be showing any wear or changes on the rugs. We bought rubber rug pads & they are doing a fine job keeping the rugs in place. I think these rugs offer good value for money & I was able to avoid buying a 'plastics' industry product that can contain toxic chemicals! So Yes, we are happy with our purchases. Less

The color is not as pictured on the 8 x 10 I purchased. I also bought a two x three which is the color pictured. The larger rug is a powder blue, like the video, not aqua or turquoise. I wanted to decorate my new rec room with a vibrant turquoise theme so now I have to decide if will try and get it back in that small sleeve to return. It arrived early. Price was great. Quality seems good. I have bought many of this brand rug from Overstock with only a slight color variation. Was very excited with the purchase, now totally bummed.

Well worth the price!

This is absolutely gorgeous. Thick and soft, the colors are fabulous. It unrolled well and did not have any bumps or bulges. We bought another of these for another area of our home, love it!

It's really beautiful. The colors are muted just the right amount so that it looks impressive but not overpowering. I'm happy with this purchase!

Not for me

Unfortunately I wanted to love this area rug but it's just not for me. The chemical smell is overwhelming, yes I let it air out but hasn't dissipated. The colors are slightly different in person, but will say it's a nice thick wool rug. Sadly too much of a hassle to return. I've purchased from this brand previously with positive experience.

Unfortunately I had to return it

I have bought Safavieh rugs in the past and never had a problem but this rug was cut crooked and also had hard sharp particles embedded in the fibers. I was sorry to return it because it was the perfect color and design for the room. The rug was heavy and very pretty but the quality was disappointing.

Very plush wool rug with a pleasing design.

Bought this to match some other rugs that I already had. It filled the space well. The turquoise color is very clear and the variety of colors allow many decorative options.

Color is true to photos

Quaility is only so-so. My cats have already used the rug as a scratching pad and torn the threads. It was short money.

Nice Quality Rug

Love the quality of this rug. The colors aren't as vibrant as what they show online but it matches perfectly with the other rug that I got from the Safavieh.

The pattern of the rug was different from the photo on the website (simpler). This is maybe because it’s the smallest size of an all wool rug. Still it looks good, fits the space, and such a beautiful all wool rug at that price can be beat.

Great value, reasonably priced!

The Safavieh Handmade Heritage Linsey area rug we bought arrived expertly packaged in heavyweight plastic, which is a good thing since we had lightning, thunder, rain and hail today. The rug is made of thick wool, in a gorgeous aqua, gray and gold design. It looks wonderful with our cream colored leather sofa and gray oak flooring. We buy all of our area rugs from Safavieh. They wear well and retain their pile over the years.

Beautiful Wool Rug

This is a beautiful rug! I put it in my kitchen and office. It coordinates with other rugs that I recently purchased. The colors are bright and elegant. I vacuumed it but it doesn't shed too much.

A quality, modern-classic

Perfect rug for my keeping room. A great quality for the price (cheaper ones looked "blah" and spread fibers everywhere). The colors are lovely; cheerful but not too bright.

This is a very well-made rug, as I have come to expect from Safavieh. Unfortunately, I had to return it because some of the colors were not as expected and didn't fit with my decor. In particular, the color that appeared online as rust was a pinky terra-cotta color, which I couldn't live with. It is a very handsome rug if the colors work in your home.
