KEY DOES NOT WORK

Magnet key doesn't work couldn't even get my cabinet open my self to the TV stand. Got so mad I about tore the door of the hinges. Had the key magnet all over the cabinet trying to get it open and nothing. Never again

These magnetic locks secured cabinet doors from our toddler. They have an on/off button so that when the baby is not around, the lock can be “turned off.”

Perfectly Practical and Discreet!

These magnetic locks are amazing! Do not underestimate the strength of the adhesive on these locks. My husband stuck it on and it was just a tad crooked... when he tried to readjust it, he realized the lock was stuck. We couldn't take it off easily at all, so we left it. Thankfully, the lock was just barely crooked... nothing noticeable and you can't even see it from the outside anyway once the cabinets are closed. These are great for keeping your kitchen and bathrooms looking clean, neat, and tidy without the looks of obvious childproofing, not to mention these work and does the job amazingly. Love them!

I absolutely love these locks. I think that the key to lock ratio is perfect for places such as a kitchen because you don't need that many keys but have cabinets everywhere. However, I have Repainted both my kitchen and my bathroom cabinets so I had to remove the locks to paint them and now I can't find replacement adhesive so I have to buy all new locks in order to put them back on which is very disappointing.

Simply THE BEST DESIGNED cupboard and drawer

I am very familiar with cabinet fittings, but I have to say that this is the best designed item; not only does it function very well, but the thought that has gone into designing a fool-proof method of installation is PURE GENIUS. Normal two part fixings are difficult to line up because they are on two seperate pieces of an opening cupboard or doors. These units come complete with a a device that lines up the 2 components easily and accurately. Safety first, first class

Product works well and does its job. Quality is a little lower than expected but not too bad. The price was different in store than online so it was a little confusing. Plus it seems like a lot for just two lock. Other than that the product is great.

Slimmer Design Needed; Works Perfectly

This product works perfectly as described. Personally I need the interior locking brackets and hinges to be slimmer to fit different sized drawers, cabinets, etc.

Super easy set up and perfectly hidden locks

So far it works great! Takes time getting used to but I like it better than other child locks I’ve used on cabinets. I’m able to open my cabinet much quicker with the key. I also like I didn’t have to screw anything into my cabinets and could just use the adhesive strips. Super easy set up.

Works as advertised

So it was easy enough to install. We haven’t screwed then on yet; just the adhesive portion. So far they’re holding. Our cabinets don’t have handles of any kind on the outside but our baby sure does like to get into things now that he’s starting to walk. I wanted something to keep him out of the ‘cleaning’ cabinet more than anything so decided to give this a try after other failures and it’s working. Will be buying more for other cabinets.

Easy to install and works great!

Was hesitant to purchase these as I read mixed reviews, but glad I did as they work great! They are so simple to install and the adhesive is very strong. Our 1 year old tugs at the door handles but the cupboards stay locked! We installed these on their side (i.e. horizontal orientation as opposed to the recommended vertical installation) as that was the only way it could work for our cupboards, but they still work fine! Just be aware that as per the description, it is only a TWO pack - the pictures are misleading and show four locks but that’s not the case; just two locks and one key per pack.

Works great!

Excellent locking mechanism! Previously tried the ones with straps but the adhesive kept falling off. This lock works flawlessly and sits fully inside the drawer, so it is not visible from the outside.

Doesn't allow you to close doors or drawers

Beware that your doors and drawers will not fully close with these installed (see bottom left drawer in pic). I can’t stand the look of the propped open doors and drawers, and it only entices my toddler to test the locks. The major design flaw is you can’t choose how far back to install the catch plate, it HAS to be on the edge of the frame. I will be removing and using something else.

These are pretty awesome. We have used some other brand before. It is great that you do not need to drill parts into the outside of the drawer. They just adhere to the inside of the drawer. The only down side is trying to remember where you have piece to line up the magnet.

[Rewarded Review] A must for nosy toddlers

My two year old is into everything! There isn’t a door,cabinet or drawer she won’t try to get into. We just had our closet redone and had some drawers put in. I didnt want to put the basic child lock on them because well most of them aren’t very nice to look at. These magnetic locks are prefect. No one can see them and it’s keeps everyone including my toddler out of my drawers. The locks come with multiple pieces of hardware to help fit all kinds of cabinets or drawers. I took one star off only because the key is so big and bulky.

So it doesn't work well with my cabinets, but despite that I still gave it four stars. That's because it's super easy to install and use. I mean it's not their fault my cabinet doors are super thick. With as fast a toddlers learn they learn how to open child locks. And this one they can't open.

I attempted this before reading the instructions and that was very silly of my because this kit is designed to be very simple for installation. There is a guide that helps install both the catch and the release lock. It was very easy to set up once following directions. The magnetic lock works great and the key is a nice tool to use to unlock. Overall, it is unique and hides well so I would recommend it to others.

Nice Magnetic Child Lock

Overall nice child locks. Although significantly more expensive than others, I decided to purchase these because I wouldn’t have to drill into my cabinets, they’re hidden when the cabinets are closed and that I they can be set to an unlock mode so it’s like there’s no child lock installed. Out of 6, 5 work perfectly and the other its latch catches when set to unlock mode as the latch doesn’t want to stay down.

I was a little disappointed about how hard it was for me to install. I am not the best at installing devices but the instructions, although step by step, could have been more detailed for someone like me. My husband, however, was able to put it together with ease. I love the option of using it for a cabinet or drawer. The magnetic key that comes with it is also very thick and big in size so it will be easier to not lose. Once installed it turned out to be a lifesaver! My almost 2 year old can no longer get into our cabinets. The lock was sturdy enough to keep him out! I am really grateful for this child lock!

Safety Fail

I tried in every way possible to get these to lock, but they just slide on each other and the cabinet opens right up. The template is great and install is easy but they don’t work. Disappointed …these looked to be such a great idea. I will have to look into more reliable alternatives

Magnets stopped working, locking drawers closed

Within 6 months of putting these on all our kitchen drawers and lower cabinets, 3 of the magnets stopped working, locking the drawers closed. In order to get the drawers open again, we had to hack it by sticking something into the narrow gap, to either press the switch turning the locks off, or actually pry the adhesive off. We broke 2 of the locks in the process, and nearly damaged the drawers, as well. We were locked out of the drawer for days before figuring it out the first time. It was only a few hours to gain entry into the drawers for the next 2, since we'd done it before, but each time was a bit unique, given different placement of the drawers and what's next to them, as well as slightly different placement of the locks within the drawers. We're now considering whether to take them off everything preemptively, in case more of the magnets fail and lock us out of other drawers/cabinets.
