Very heavy duty
This cooler is yeti quality without the price. It is very heavy duty and kept our drinks cold on a long roadtrip. It fits perfectly in the backseat floor. It comes with a great divider that doubles as a cutting board or cheese board.
Disappointed
The foam on the handle slips all over the place.
Fuggetabout it!
The foam on the handle slips all over the place.
Tall Cooler
I needed a tall cooler that would fit in the floor of my truck behind the console. I built a stand for it to hold it in place and it woks perfectly. It came with a cutting board/ divider witch works out great. Bottle beer, wine bottles, tall bottled water all fit with room to spare. Iced it up on Sunday and the water was still cold on Tuesday. Great product at a good price.
After 3 days my ice packs finally started to soften. This will be my new travel companion on road trips, keeping my water, diet shakes and perishables fridge-fresh while driving.Starts around 11 lbs., but with bottles, cans and ice fill, the weight became 20 pounds.Items really do stay cold longer.Be sure to pre-chill with ice paks for at least 12-14 hrs. before filling to travel.Fits nicely in a footwell or right behind the front seats in my suv.
I wanted a small, but good cooler to take to the lake with me. So far, I have been very happy with this cooler. Its just the right size and it keeps everything nice and cold. Ive packed yogurt, sandwich meat, and partially frozen apple juice and everything was very cold hours later even though it was outside in the heat. I also like that it is sturdy enough to sit on.
I got the 10 litre in white. There is no drain plug, which is fine by me and makes sense for this size. The aluminum handle is sturdy, as is the overall construction. It keeps ice frozen for a long time even on a warm day in the sun. Two days in the hot Florida sun and the ice is half melted. It is quite heavy due to the insulation and construction.I bought this specifically to store ice cubes on my sailboat during cruising, so we dont have to make ice in the freezer with trays. So basically this is a big ice bucket and holds enough ice for a weekend cruise. Otherwise, we might ice down a six pack although it will hold more.
My only real complaint is the way the handle is attached. Screws with lock washers directly against the handle without any bushing or spacer. Flipping the handle up and down causes the screws to back out and the handle to fall off. Id recommend removing the lock washers and reinstall the screws with locktite. On mine I will be removing the handle completely and bolting a strap or sling in its place.
Just got mine today purchased from another store but damn this thing is big league quality. This is the 3rd cooler Ive purchased in the past month or so. The other 2 are an Rtic 52 Ultra-Light and an Igloo BMX 25.All 3 are great. This Camp Zero 10 looks and feels incredibly high quality. I cant claim any ice retention stats because I just got it but experience and common sense leads me to believe this will perform as good or better than any cooler in the same size range. Larger coolers will hold ice longer but for its size I doubt there is anything better. Everyone who saw this was impressed by the quality. I will almost certainly have to buy the 20 quart version eventually. This is seriouly exactly what I wanted in a small cooler. Quality matters to me. This is quality at a fair price.
Car camping buddy
I purchased this for car camping and road trips. The form factor and size of the cooler is nice. It fits in the rear passenger footwell of my Subaru Crosstrek, and with an added spacer of a few inches of padding doubles as support for my inflatable mattress. Which is much appreciated given the need to save real estate in such a small car. The cooler comes with a cutting board/compartment divider. I filled one side with ice as a test, the other side remained empty). Opened it a few times a day in an air conditioned home in the upper 60's and it held the ice for 4 days. More ice and it would have retained longer, and obviously temperature will effect ice melt. During the test I did not experience any hard to open lid issues as a result of cooling and an air tight seal, so I'm not sure if it needs a pressure relief button, but that is a feature they could add in the future. It's also good to know that replacement latches can be found online, if you ever have issues with them. Overall, I like the cooler and I would purchase again over the more costly brands.
Dont waste your time with Yeti. This thing is awesome and so portable! Love the small size. I can take it to the beach and lake without my husbands help. Nice to have a heavy duty cooler that a woman can easily carry! Keeps ice for days! No complaints. LOVE it.
We got this for my husband’s lunch. He has to leave his lunch in his truck all day. We live in Florida! We love it! His lunch is ice cold every day! We use a large ice pack. Tested out with some beers and ice also, kept inside. I’ve stayed for two days. We dumped after that. Might have lasted longer! Great size to take a few drinks somewhere when you don’t want to bring your big cooler!
This is a good quality cooler. It does seal, but ice doesnt keep as long as I had hoped. I have not used any name brand coolers similar to this one so I cant compare how well these types of coolers keep the ice from melting. The ice only lasted 2 to 3 days before it was all melted. I have a large Coleman cooler that seals really well, like its hard to open. Ice lasts a while in it. 6-7 days. The cooler itself works fine and is made of good quality material.
I tested thisfor a weekend out in the high desert in late spring. Trust me, it was still hot with almost nothing but sun. I left it in my car all weekend, too, which we all know increases the ambient temperature. I put several trays of ice in the bottom of it before leaving home Friday. I always tried to get things out quickly when I needed them, and come Sunday afternoon back at home, I dumped out a lot of water but there was definitely still ice too. I am impressed. Others reported the same thing, and now Ive seen it for myself. Great cooler!
Bought this for my hubbyhe loves it. Is a little big for him to keep in his golf cart he says. He does maintenance work. He put ice at 830am these pic I posted was from when he got home from work at 540pm 106 degree weather in Cali. Posted pic with 12oz soda can so you get an idea of big it is. Since no one posted any pictures like this smh. I’ll do y’all a favor lol. Camp zero could do a better handle on it
Got this for my husband who works for a county water company and he couldnt be more pleased. Keeps his lunch and drinks cold just like his yeti. Also mentioned that this cooler is durable enough to sit on during his break lol. I recommend if you want something of quality, but dont want to spend the money for a yeti.
I was looking for a lunchbox replacement to my soft bag one I usually take to work. This one is pretty big. Ill probably look a bit funny taking it into work. But.. its really really well built. Even the little ice packs hold up.This is a great size probably for two people to be honest, so if they ever made a 6-7 quart one it would be perfect for 1.Regardless this is one I feel can hold up as one of those life time type lunch boxes. The only con i might have but wont know for years and years to come is how well the locking rubber parts will last and if the foam part of the handle will also hold up. It seems like its made of that material that some childrens bats were made of forever ago that if you touch them now, are extremely dry and stiff. Though the handle even without the foam still feels comfy in my hand.
If you’re comparing this to yeti, just buy this one. I can’t say how long ice will last as I use it as my daily lunch box but it’s robust, solid and no sharp corners from flash in the plastic injection rotomold process. Only thing I can see going wrong are the details affixing the latches to the lid, however they are tucked in nicely, someone, somewhere will break one. Other than that it’s a great cooler.
Perfect for two people and just the right size for drinks . Keeps ice cold and very durable since we have broken so many cooler handles put together very well definitely going to get another one since everyone keeps taking mine . Best part not too heavy to carry for me when it’s fully loaded with drinks and ice.
I wanted a strong durable cooler that I could use for work. I saw some of the over priced outrageous ones then saw this one and decided to get it. This thing is great, really rugged keeps all my stuff cold for my whole shift. I suggested it to a friend and they got one too. Plan on getting another in a bigger size.
