Good Enough
The color is nice and it functions properly. I dont like that the inner ring that holds the trash bag doesn't come out all the way, it makes it harder to change the bag. Also there is no way to keep the lid open without pressing the pedal, so that's annoying when you need to throw away a lot at one time or when changing the trash bag. Its very light so if there's no to little trash inside, the trash can moves. But for the price and foot press function its ok.
Not As Good
This was a replacement for one that we had for years. I was excited for an updated model after the lid accidentally broke on the previous one. Almost immediately it was proving to not be as good as our original. This one is going out to our garage and unfortunately I'll have to find a completely different one for the kitchen. Disappointed to say the least!
Quality item
I received this trash can and it fits perfectly in my kitchen beneath my center island overhang. It is made of durable plastic and the grade is heavier than the cheaper weight cans in the store. The convenience of the step to open so allows you to dispose of trash when your hands are too full to lift open the top. I am very glad for this selection and recommend it if you are anticipating a new trash can for your kitchen, patio, family room or basement. It is very versitile.
Mega Bummed
I bought it to replace my stainless steel one and am just as disappointed. It's lid doesn't open all the way and stay open, the rim inside is great in theory, but it should clip into the lid so you aren't having to juggle when changing the trash. Then it seems next to impossible to get a bag in. So it's a lot of struggling to change the trash
Received Damaged. Exchanging for a good one
Just received it and it was damaged. The lid had a huge crack on it. The can itself still looks like a good buy so I’m doing an exchange. The step to open it is pretty sturdy and the bag holder is a good design.
Did not last. Need replacemebt after 3 montbs
The trash can does not last, its made of cheap plastic. The lid came broken and now the stepper that opens the lid will not raise the lid all the way up completely. Target won’t let me return this or get a replacement. Why would Target sell an item that won’t last?
Perfect size!
This is just what we needed for the cottage. The bronze color looks really nice and it's the perfect size for our space. We needed something larger and this has made things much more convenient. The soft-close and step pedal is a super nice feature. The material is also easy to clean and super durable.
Good trash can
I've had this trash can for over 5 yrs. It held up good the most frustrating thing or me is the brim and putting the bag on there because it's a wide mouth. I use 13g bags members mark and they fit snug and don't fall down which i like. I, repeat, finally broke the mechanism to open it by step. I'm not sure if this one listed is the one where the lid will stay open but that's the version i have now. It certainly comes in handy. The manufacturer provides a 5 yr warranty and are responsive on there website for questions. The link to contact them is listed on the website. Even though my lid isn't attached anymore i'll be keeping it for a spare outside. It's not some thin cheap plastic either, it's well built imo. I didn't pay $40 for this at that time, it was certainly cheaper.
Don’t spent that much money on garbage
This trash can broke within the first couple months! The inside plastic part that lifts the lid when you step on the pedal broke. So now it’s only attached to the right side of the lid, and barely lifts it. Super disappointed to have spent that much money on garbage.
Functional, easy to open, whisper quiet close
Foot pedal is easy to use. You can easily open to the stay open position or only partially. The closing is whisper quiet. Easy to clean, and 13 gallon bags fit perfectly under the rim where they belong. I love this easy care can, and it looks good in my kitchen.
Bag slides down
The silver is attractive. It fits an avg. 13 gallon garbage bag. It has a nice slow closing lid. It’s sturdy. However, it is missing something at the top rim, to keep the bag from sliding down when it’s full.
Expensive garbage
Much too expensive for what you get. When you try to change the garbage bag you can't even keep the lid up so you can replace the bag . You have to hold the lid with one hand and then try and put your bag in among other annoying features of this garbage pail. Save your money get something less expensive it'll probably be much better than this. I think I paid 35 bucks for this piece of plastic crap.
Cheap changes have now ruined a very good item
Top will not open all the way or stay open when pushed open. Very difficult to load a bag. Bag holder stays stuck on the bottom piece unless pried open . There is only one tab holding it in place instead of two (design change?) 'Stainless' cover for foot pedal pops off. I returned it. I have this IDENTICAL trash can at home in a different color which is heavier and has worked perfectly for 5 years . Construction now cheap and useless. Walmart customer since before there was even home delivery..!! I can count on one hand how many times I have had to return anything !! Walmart does make returns easy and free !!
Broken on arrival
When the item arrived, the box was undamaged but the trash can was broken and unusable. The lid is held on by two small, fragile plastic pegs, and both of those pegs had sheared off during shipping. If this item is made cheaply enough to break this badly in transit, there is no way it would survive a week in my three-child home. Returned and refunded.
Great for the price
My wife Loved the dark brown color. The quality material it is made of is really good. Also I always prefer the pedestal push vs the touch/motion sensor ones. Overall, For the price, the capacity is good too. I am satisfied. What remains to be seen is how long the pedestal push system lasts.
13 Gallon Trash Can
The looks of the trash can is good but it it is not built well at all. The part that you push down does not open at all. I am really not sure why it even has this feature because it does not work at all. I definitely would not make this purchase again. I wish that I had read the reviewed before I purchased because it sounds like others have had a very hard time returning %26 dealing with their customer service.
Horrible quality
We’ve only been using this trash can for 2 months and the lid is already broken. It’s also cheap, light plastic, so it slides around the floor every time you step on the pedal. I just ordered another brand that will hopefully work better and will be tossing this trash can in the trash as soon as the replacement arrives.
Brim Step Can 13G Bronze, Each (084200-125)
It's pretty, too over priced for each trash can though. It wasn't packed good, 100% for protection. Few scratches on it. Didn't realize until the last minute that you have to purchase something like over 175. 00 worth of purchases in order to get free shipping. The shipping fee was too high. I will not, be buying from this site ever again. I do not, recommend anyone buying these trash cans. It closes, slow too.
Poor Design
overall the trash can functions. I see two negatives with the design. First, It is very difficult to prop the lid open. You have to get it just exactly right so it doesn't keep dropping closed. Second, It has an interior band intended to hold the trash bag in place. Yes that does function correctly. The problem though is when you're trying to get a trash bag out or in of the can. You're trying to hold both the lid and the band up while you struggle to get the trash bag inside. It would appear they do not get any consumer feedback when designing their products!
Sleek, modern, nice looking
FIRST I just like to say, when did plastic trash cans get so expensive? You used to be able to buy them in any color for 15-20 bucks. Anyway... they're all rather fancy now. I like the bronze, matches my kitchen and has a nice clean look to it. Holds the bag securely.
