Looks elegant and clean, it folds quite good and it feels very stable and robust. It must be a combination of the design, materials and also the construction what it gives all this sensations. In addition, this stand folds completely flat so you can easily carry it in a bag.

Awesome Mobile Device Stand!

This stand is sturdily built with solid firm hinges to maintain a desired angle and height for your mobile device. Great for orientating my 11" iPad Pro in portrait mode with the power cable plugged in at the bottom because of the forked cradle. Nice weight to it, centered on the base for good stability. Little fear of the device toppling over.

The stand is excellent. With the X2 Bluetooth keyboard, it has greatly enhanced my working with my iPad which I now use about 90% of the time. It supports my iPad Air3 without any issues. It supports it firmly and is very easy to adjust. I also like the fact that it folds up compactly for travel. Fits neatly in my luggage. I am very happy and satisfied with the Stand, keyboard and the excellent service. I whole heartily recommend Satechi and their products without question.

Clean and efficient design

Works as designed and looks great. The base lacks stability because of its compact size which is a positive for folding up and traveling. I would of preferred the stand to be taller. I have it sitting on a stack of books as a work around. The area between the base and bottom of the iPad is large enough to store my wireless keyboard which is nice. The stand looks good on my desk and does what it is designed to do, hold my iPad in both portrait and landscape.

Great stand. Compact, sturdy, and portable

I bought this stand primarily for use with an Ipad Pro 11 inch. It's compact, sturdy, portable, and easy to store/put away. I really like the space gray colorway to go with all my space gray devices and accessories. I also use this with a MacBook Pro while I work from home like a lot of folks right now. It surprisingly still does the job, just a little bit more wobble if you happen to bump your desk. However, for something that can hold a laptop, it takes up very little desk real estate which is a huge positive. I am giving this a 4 out of 5 stars simply because the rubber grip that sits below the device and holds it in place is crooked to the point where it almost lines up with the the left edge. I am surprised by this because other Satechi products I purchased have always met higher quality standards(compact keyboard, desk mat). This is likely just an outlier in the quality check.

Very improper weighting of the stand

In terms of dimensions, this stand looks great. I love how it folds, and it looks high quality.

Nice product, major defect. BE CAREFUL.

I love everything about this stand, but it has a major defect. My 2018 12.9 inch iPad Pro does not set square against the back rubber matt (which is not quite thick enough to protect the device). The iPad will slide (as it appears the rubber bottom hooks are somewhat rounded). As a result, at times, the iPad will rest against the metal back hinge. This hinge is sharp at the hinge area (see picture with finger). As a result your iPad is resting against sharp aluminum. I you place incorrectly or lift up from this position SCRATCH. This is what happened to my $2000 iPad Pro. If you chose to use this stand BE VERY CAREFUL. I have been testing it and and am unsure if it will even work as often I touch my iPad screen when it is on the stand. This in itself can cause the iPad to shift slightly and press up against the metal back.

Misleading product finishing

If you are planning to buy the space grey, then don't. This is a very good product, in my opinion, its the 2nd best after twelevesouth's Compass Pro. I'm a big SATECHI fan but for this particular model, I was cheated. I bought a couple of units and discovered that it came in Silver although the box says its space grey, Satechi claims that this is a 4 years old product and the color shades may vary. Well, that not a good claim because compared to the same product purchased a year ago (space grey) this not matching at all, as a matter of fact, it has a perfect match with my other Silver SATECHI products.

Great stand - even MacWorld highly recommends it!

I have an iPad case that can flip back and hold my iPad upright, but I wanted/needed something more sturdy, aesthetically pleasing and more Apple like. On May 9th, 2013 MacWorld published a review online of iPad stands and the Satechi R1 Arm Hinge Holder Stand was rated one of the top recommended choices. I have tried many other brands and types of stands, and this one by far has over exceeded my expectations.
