Our old air gap was leaking - the seal was...

Our old air gap was leaking - the seal was broken. This is the first time we have ever replaced an air gap - we would have been fine buying only the lower part with the seal and w/o the cover - we'll know next time. Easy to install. The only questionable thing is the instructions say to put the seal underneath the sink (which still resulted in water leaking). After watching youtube videos in which the person put the seal on the top, we tried that and no more leaks from the hole were air gap is installed. We're happy with the quality and look.

Surprised it was NOT an item in the store - I wanted a stainless steel cap, not plastic. Arrived on time - my plumber had no problem installing it!

After installing to sink,drain hose tension stripped nut off of air gap.

It would seem that because it is a Bronze color, it is much more expensive, more than double than most of them. It seems hard to believe that something this small would be much more expensive given the fact that the process to coat this is probably the same and very little material is involved.

Why do they make these so cheap?

I realize these don't do much, but boy are they made cheaply.

Nearly Perfect!

I was thrilled that the air gap matched our faucet. It fit perfectly and was easily connected. My only complaint is that the washer and the plastic was visible and white. It bothered me aesthetically but I was able to correct that using permanent markers in black & brown. Looks perfect now!

simple product, good color

dark oil bronze unit, true to color stated, seems to work fine... not sure why they can't carry this item in the store, considering so many people are installing these color fixtures in the kitchen.
