Why not include the water supply fitting? It’s $1

It would have been a 5-star rating but required a second trip to the store to get a compression fitting to connect it to the water supply. It required an 1/4” plastic ferrule and copper sleeve. This was a surprise since the one I replaced was copper and used a copper ferrule. Otherwise, installation was very easy, and it works perfectly.

Excellent addition to a sink!

This item was unique to install. It does NOT come with all the required parts. You have to purchase a "T" connecter for the water supply line. This could become tricky to find but once you do, easy install. Also, wake sure you have a separate power source other than the plug that the garbage disposal uses. This source is wired to a switch. Lastly, make sure the power souse you will use has an additional outlet.

Cheap Product will Leak / Cause Damage - see photo

I purchased one of these Insinkerator Hot Water Dispensers Jan 2023. Less than two years later it was leaking and caused major damage to a brand new cabinet and a newly refinished hard wood floor. This item is either made of inferior materials or they have a major manufacturing issue (or both). See the pictures I took right after I noticed the leak. My wife used it to fill two cups of hot tea each morning. The metal tank is completely corroded Buyer beware.

Price is over rated in the quality/material use

Reliability has been excellent in the past with a brushed nickel color, we purchased this new unit to change to black finish to match the new sink and kept the old tank for a spare.

this unit was a replacement of slightly smaller volume unit from the same mfg. the replacement was easy, with no need to ask for help. i would recommend this unit to anyone.

Great when it works. Terrible warranty

Purchased this as a replacement for a unit that functioned well for many years. This unit worked for about 3 months and then tripped the GFI. Even though there is an in home warranty, when you call Insinkerator they tell you they do not have an authorized service center in your region. Instead they say they will mail you a replacement and you have to install it... no problem with that. The replacement lasted 2 months, then the same problem. I called and went through the same troubleshooting for the GFI and they mailed me a replacement. Now the 2nd replacement worked great for 4 months then had the same problem. This time they miraculously do have a service company. I made an appointment, took the day off work. 3.5 hours into the 4 hour service window I got a call to reschedule for another day because the truck broke down. Unacceptable support.

Love this instant hot! Just installed this week. High enough to use easily. Handle works easier than old model. Filtered water tastes great. Looks great with my black granite sink. Exceeds my expectations!!

Defect

Unit leaked water from inside through electric cord outlet.

Work’s great. I installed it about a month ago.

Having instant hot water available all day is a game changer. Also nice to have more bench space in the kitchen without a kettle.

Person at store was very helpful and nice. Product is very fine. Friends who wanted it, is very satisfied.

I spoke to a sales specialist when I made this purchase. He assured me that the dispenser was stainless steel and that it would match the faucet I purchased. The dispenser arrived today and has a chrome finish. Very disappointing!!!!
