Packet door hardware
Fantastic functionality. Works great and easy install. Used on a pocket door
Pocket door replacement pull
The extension of the bolt is shorter than OEM but it works fine.
Do not buy the National brand for your pocket door
I installed the National brand on my pocket door. The Opener was hard to open, close, and made a loud noise when locking back! I have returned this product for a refund.
Great door pull
Better than expected. Very classy and fun!
Availability in quantity and good price
This design of pocket door lock is not designed for everyday use. I'm constantly having to replace them. But I found that Lowes is the best place to get them cheaper than anywhere else and able to buy in larger quanities.
Junk - do not buy!!
The instructions are a joke and the latch doesn’t lock. DO NOT BUY!! Oh, when you call the number, 800-346-9445, they NO LONGER offer tech support.
Works well IF you know what you're doing
Although the label says "easy installation" it took me quite a while and I'm an experienced carpenter with the right tools. You actually have to go to the Kwikset webpage to find the "complete door drilling instructions" mentioned on the VERY inadequate installation guide, since I couldn't find them on the National hardware website. Maybe they're there but not easy to find?
Just what I needed
I changed my bathroom door from a hinged door to a pocket door to yield a little more bathroom space.. I planned on using the original door and a pocket door lockset. The door is a 1 3/8s door that was drilled for a standard entry door set. The pocket door lock set I had did not fully cover the hole for the old door set. I was very pleased to find this lockset for pocket doors. It went in easily, fit perfectly and filled the door set hole. The biggest challenge was making the hole for the lock bolt. The received for the lockset bolt is approximately 1" deep. It took a good bit of drilling and hand chiseling to get the lockset to fit. However,, now that it is in I like it very much. The locket comes with a door bolt that has a spring loaded lever. The lever hangs at an angle and it is easy to grab. The lock is designed as to give an occupant something to grasp with the door fully open to pull it closed. Nice touch! I've been very pleased with the item thus far.
Pocket Door Hardware
Easy to install if you follow instructions. We had a pocket door that needed hardware. Locks easily now.
Easy install.
Fits perfectly in an existing door knob hole when reusing an existing swing door for a pocket door. The latch mechanism is a bit finicky but works.
perfect finish and fit
couldnt find these anywhere, fist the door perfectly and latches great
Entrapment danger
Had to return before installing. 4 adults with weak fingers, or anyone lacking a tool from one side, unable to operate.
Incomplete instructions included with product , not happy
Not a secure Latch
Doesn’t lock well. The little hook does not protrude enough so if the door has flex its easy to unlock by pushing in onnthe door and opening. Not good for a bathroom.
National Hardware Pocket Door Pull
Installs like a regular door handle / latch. Installed in a solid door which was too heavy to open by pulling latch. Good sturdy hardware, locking function excellent but only able to open from one side. Mostly meets all expectations, main selling point was able to directly install in the pre bored holes.
easy install
The install went pretty easily. This was the first pocket door I've installed but I have installed normal doors before. The latch seems to work well enough.
Ok
A bit stiff. May loosen up in time.
Great space saver
We actually removed the door knob from the door to our small half bath. Using this saved so much room. The only downfall was it didn't quite fit into the hole.
[Rewarded Review] Way to flimsy.
To be open and honest I deal with 168 of these in a hotel an I replace these things some times weekly in some rooms. The stamped steel that makes up the core of this thing is far you weak for any level of abuse so if it's going to get banged around in the slightest stay away.
[Rewarded Review] Good for a pocket door
Easy to install on pre-drilled door. The emergency unlock on the outside is rather large and accessible. I would rather it be a pin hole like normal door knobs.
