Flat Black Double Demountable Hinges

Well made. Flat black, rather than the oiled bronze black, so go well with black appliances, etc. Would have been five stars except the thickness of the metal is less than the original hinges we replaced which caused cabinet doors with tighter gaps to not close properly due to a slight overlap. Required trimming the doors on the edge opposite the hinges by about 2mm. Easy to do with the right tools.

They have been installed about one week at this point. Hinges installed easily and worked as expected, all 54 of them! They are part of home refresh, kitchen and three bathrooms. i just wish there was a better, more consistent description . . . "partial overlay", "half Overlay", "6 mm Overlay". Who knew that is all the same? Good thing I only ordered one package to test and not the whole 27 packages, because I ended up getting a "Full Overlay" which didn't fit properly. The reorder set my schedule back a week.

These were a perfect upgrade to the 1970's dark brass hinges that had been on our cabinets since the house was built. I was glad that Home Deport had these older style hinges available. It was easy to order a large amount and they arrived quickly. I am not quite sure why these are so costly, but that is the case anywhere you buy them. These new hinges, combined with my updated cabinet pulls - also stain nickel, make my kitchen look far more modern. They seem sturdy thus far. I gave them four stars as 2 out of the 36 we ordered required that we use an extra metal washer to get them to affix properly.
