[Rewarded Review] Great for light filtering and insulation!

I picked blackout curtains hoping for a thicker fabric that will help keep the chill from coming through the big windows on my double door setup. During our first cold snap, I noticed they are making a difference! The curtains hang beautifully because the material is heavy and seems to be of great quality (which is also going to help with my goal to keep the chill out!). I'm pleased with how they look pushed to the sides during the day and pulled together at night. The pattern is attractive without being too much for any decor. They do a great job blocking light in the room they're in with other windows that don't have light blocking solutions. I didn't need the light blocking, I was more concerned with insulating a big door area for this project. With our house having animals, I like to wash any common area soft cloths often. The panels have nicely stitched top slots that made initially putting them on the rod a breeze. I won't dread washing these in a few weeks because they're easy on and off! Each panel had small threads hanging from them that I didn't notice until they were already hung. I snipped the strings with scissors and they seem fine now, so just a little last step quality assurance issue that shouldn't be a big deal in the life of the curtains. They arrived snuggly packed in plastic and a bit wrinkled. I let them hang for 3 days hoping most of the creases would soften, but I did ultimately have to steam out the wrinkles. Even though the fabric is thick and the curtains were tightly packed, the creases came out easily with my small steamer. I would definitely buy these again for light filtering and/or insulating needs.

Worth Every Penny!

If you’re on the fence, just go for it. These curtains are a game-changer for anyone who loves sleeping in total darkness. Plus, you cant beat the price for the quality!
