Defective

At first, I thought that I would really like this mattress cover. I liked that the top was 100% cotton. After opening it to put it on the bed, I noticed that it seemed pieced together near the center of the cover, from head to toe end, and the padding was very stuffed on one side, and next to nothing on the other side. Very disappointed from this Sealy cover. I decided to keep it though, because it's hard to find cotton covers.

I was looking for a cotton covered mattress pad that I could wash in my machine at home. (I grew tired of years of taking my bulky catalog-brand one to the laundromat.) This Sealy mattress pad is perfectly adequate, with enough thickness to the pad and the convenience of laundering at home.

good quality, elastic fits my 14.5 in mattress with room to spare. stays in place, and not hot to sleep on at all. nice padding and stitching makes it worth the money. would buy again for sure.

Weak Elastic Construction

I was looking mainly to soften the feel of my firm mattress, some protection but not waterproof. I had purchased a Sealy in the past which after 10plus years still holds up well in the guest room. Main problem i faced with this product was while pulling the elastic portion to fit my standard queen (not deep) mattress, i felt the bottom seams break. i saw the frayed threads all around. I like the slightly padded top portion and it will probably perform fine. but now i fear taking it out for a wash and placing it back on!

Low quality, poor construction

The stitching was crooked and caused the pad too pull up in the corner. It was also too small for my standard queen size bed.

Good Fit and Comfort

I needed to replace my old mattress pad and wanted something with a good grip on the mattress with both protection and soft but minimal padding. The Sealy fits my Eastern King perfectly and stays in place. The modest padding is perfect and it is just works without extra gimmicks.

Just what I was looking for

An excellent mattress pad. Easy to put on the bed; I like the stretchy sides that allow for good coverage. Sealy quality is what I expected.

Disappointed

I chose this because it was cotton. Good brand, or so I thought. We converted a twin bed in child’s room into occasional-use guest room. I put it on mattress, it was not too tight or too loose. The next day I took the mattress off to put on a new dust ruffle and I was surprised to see underneath the mattress that the thin elastic was significantly torn away from the sides of the mattress pad in about 4 places, about 3 inches in length in each place. No one has ever sat on or slept in the bed and it’s already torn. :/ Will just count on the new fitted sheet to help keep the mattress pad in place. :/ On a positive note the top of the mattress pad looks nice for the price.
