Older dogs love new food

We were looking for food without grains for our older dogs and this worked out perfectly. There was no transition problems with any of them. They all love it.

Happy Basset Hound, happy home!

I recently changed from a Lamb and rice formula to this chicken recipe for my senior Basset Hound, at the recommendation of our veterinarian. Madison absolutely LOVES this food! Gobbles it down, and gives me her drooling smiles after every meal! Chewy has the best price, and with their excellent shipping, it works well for us!

Our Cocker Spaniel Eats Like A Territorial Puppy

Each time a serving of food is in her bowl, our cocker spaniel is protective to include eating extremely fast as if she was at a kennel. Our only pet, she is over 10 years old and was not like this before with her previous food.

Good Nutrition but Dog Doesn't Like It, Weird Odor

This is the second bag of this food. I bought it for the nutritional value, based on scientific testing. I noticed my dog is smelling like the food, I can't wash it away ! He has started turning away from his food only 1/2 eaten or less which for my food centered cocker spaniel is very wrong.

So Far, really good food

This has been a really good choice for my dogs. They all really like it, and have not had any digestive issues from the switch. So far, the quality has been very good. Maybe will change to give stars if the quality continues to remain consistent. Feeling grateful for this food.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have fed another highly recommended and pricey food to my dog for quite a while with few problems. But some change had happened with the food the last year, and it wasn't good. The kibble was almost all crushed and smelled different. My dog no longer liked eating it. He was becoming very tired, would have vomiting, diarrhea; started to have dry skin and very rough hair, would chew on feet, scratch, and constantly lick his feet and legs. He was miserable until I changed his food. I changed to Hill's Science Diet Adult 7+ Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food. Within one week he was so much better! His stools are firm and is no longer vomiting. His hair became very soft, stopped chewing and licking, loved eating food again and regained lots of energy. I highly recommend this for senior dogs.

Our senior dog is doing fantastic

We had trouble finding a food that our senior dog did great in without either putting on OR losing weight. He's very active, but we live in a hot climate and sometimes must limit his activity. This food has been wonderful to maintain his condition, is great for his GI, and his coat.

Typically not found in stores

This is a great buy. I’m so glad that I have it on auto-ship because buying this specific type of food at 30 lbs is difficult in stores. Most stores don’t have this size on the shelf. Auto-ship was an easy decision for me with this product.

Quick Delivery - Good Product.

Having a large bag of dog food delivered to my front door at basically the same cost as if I'd gone to a store - is great. Less lifting for me. I'm switching back to Science Diet since having health problems with my dog. I had been a SD believer my entire life. Recently I tried a more expensive food - thinking it would be better for my dog - it wasn't. She's started to develop tumors, etc. I'm switching her over to SD and hoping for the best. My animals always lived health, long lives when I fed SC.... I don't know why I thought it was a good idea to switch.

This food has dramatically changed.

This food has dramatically changed. My dog simply won't eat it. He has had trouble swallowing it. This evening I mixed in chicken broth, but that made no difference. It appears to be a different product. I see what looks like yellow corn in it. Please what have you done?

I have used this product

I have used this product for our Labrador Retriever for the past several years. Last week, we got a new shipment of two cases of cans from Chewy and the quality has gone downhill. Instead of giving the appearance of predominantly a meat/barley mixture, now it appears to be heavily barley with little meat component. It is very crumbly and sandy and not cohesive at all. Do not like the change.

Not this one either

I'm sure it isn't the food, but this one wasn't a hit with our four dogs either. Maybe they read that it is for Seniors and resent that fact. We will be trialing small packages from now on. We are incredulous that we're having such problems , especially with our male who has never been picky.

Micah Loves His New Food

Micah, my lab mix has severe skin allergies! He would scratch and bite all day long leaving him sore and irritated. I decided to change his food after the elimination diet failed to determine exactly what was causing his allergies. I’m so glad I made this purchase! I started out with a 4lb bag to see if he would like the food. Then after his old food was mostly gone I bought the 30lb bag. The delivery was fast and the dog food was packaged without any tears. He loves his new food and I can already see his coat starting to shine. He still bites the insides of his paws, but I’ll take that over his entire body covered with hair plugs where he has ripped the hair out from biting. I highly recommend this food for allergic dogs like my Micah! Thanks Chewy and Science Diet!

It really tastes good!

As my dog has developed some health issues, we decided to switch her dry food. Surprisingly, she likes the Hills Adult 7+...it even smells good! Our other dog, who is much more picky even likes it...guess it's a keeper! Since I ordered this outside of my monthly subscription, it was nice to receive it so quickly! Great service, as always! Thank you!

My dog loves this food!!

Overall, highly recommend! My dog loves this food! She’s never really been a picky eater but sometimes we go through days where she’ll pick at her food - she has a few health conditions that we have to monitor and this is one of the signs she needs her meds for her conditions. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is the fat content. It’s a little on the high side, especially for an older dog that is prone to weight gain. We have been putting 1/4 of a cup in her food and mixing it to be on the safe side but we have definitely noticed she gobbles her food down quickly that usual the last few days.

Dogs love it

My senior pit bull and senior chihuahua love this. The kibble is a little larger, but I get it moist for them. My pit-bull has stomach issues so I make sure to get it moist. I’m glad they make a food without corn as I found out my pit was highly allergic to it. Senior food with lower fat what more could you ask for. We also love chewy and their fast shipping. Wish science diet had sales.

Will always use Hill's Science Diet, the Adult 7+ didn't agree with my dog

Our dog Frankie is a cockapoo and just turned 13. He has only eaten Hill's Science Diet small bites for the past 10-12 years. Before that he had their puppy food. I thought why not move on to the "senior" stage of food. I gradually introduced the Adult 7+ food ( I had purchased a small bag at a local pet store.)

Perfect for my seniors

I needed a quality food with lower protein and fat for my aging Mom’s JRT’s but did not want corn, wheat or soy. I transitioned over a 10 day period with no issues. My fussy eater? She gave up her stance on day two and now gobbles it down. (It drives me crazy when people say “the dog wouldn’t eat it “ as feedback in various foods - I have never known a dog who would starve itself to death.) This is a well formulated quality food from a known entity.
