The rug looked fine however it had a very strong odor as if it was treated with a chemical which lasted in our home causing eye and throat irritations. It was difficult to get rug outdoors as we have a lot of snow here. The rug also sheds-small fibers scatter everywhere and get on dark clothing.

This square size fits our furniture arrangement so that is appreciated however, this rug is like one big bathroom rug--there is no backing. IDK if this is good or bad but worth noting. The shag is not plush and close but rather long and stringy so it can be separated and the backing is visible but not unsightly. A vacuum with a beater roller cannot be used on this shag as it will twist up and pull out the pieces of fiber. Since only the bare floor attachment works, I'm not quite sure what level of "cleanness" we'll be able to maintain. Aside from that, I'm pleased with how it looks and feels. A fair price is important as ivory rugs don't last that long and this was a good sale.
