Very sturdy metal. Very easy to put together. Looks fantastic on the house. Shipped quick and arrived before the scheduled date. I will be ordering another one for the second water spout on the other side of our house. It looks beautiful and looks like it will last for many years to come. I am VERY happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to others. You will have to buy the screws to attach it to the house and you will need the tool to drill into the brick if you have a brick home. I didn't think about that before I ordered it. Thankfully my brother had the tools and hung it up for me. We have out house close to the beach so this goes with the theme of the area and looks beautiful on the outside of the house. The water hose I purchased to go with it is a 100 FT Expanding garden Hose Flexible Water Hose that has a green spray head with it, from Overstock that fit perfectly. It all was exactly what I wanted and needed. I am delighted!
