Used to seal a new concrete shed pad. The sealer goes on very easily with a sprayer. I had my grandson with a roller going behind me to rollout any puddling and ensure even coverage. As recommended, we put on two coats, ensuring the first coat was still wet (less then 10 minutes after application) before we applied the second coat. Concrete shed floor was 12x16 ft. Ghostshield calculated 1.1 gallons but finished up using slightly less than 1 gallon. As I ended up buying 2 gallons, planning to seal my front door porch. There is no shine so hard to tell you have sealed the concrete until you pour water on it and the water just beads up. I would definitely buy again.

Excellent Performance

Performed beyond my expectations. Was used on chimney bricks and mortar and sealed without affecting brick color, or sheen. The same cannot be said for stone sealer products from major home improvement box stores. I tried those products on inconspicuous areas and the difference is quite noticeable in sheen and color. Kudos to GhostShield

Awesome Product!

Purchased Ghost shield 8500 Masonry ready to use concrete sealer on July 28, 2024 with crazy work schedule and it being too hot to apply in July. I waited till the weather cooled down so, I applied it on October 15, 2024 on my new concrete pad. I couldn’t believe it 2-days later this stuff really worked the rain water bubbled on concrete surface like it should. As far as this winter of 2024 approaches in Idaho we have freezing temperatures and lots of snow therefore, I’m hoping concrete will not crack through the winter of 2024 is still to be determined? Therefore, needing to redo my entire driveway which is all “stamped concrete” I have “spalling” going on due to previous owners applying “ICE-MELT” product the worst thing to apply on concrete in order to melt the snow which tore up the concrete creating “spalling"on the concrete surface along with cracking the concrete. I am planning on purchasing more of this product after repairing my entire driveway next spring of 2025, as a retired senior woman DYI and a can-do attitude, knowing which products to buy that work the best. Ghost shield products is now on the top of my buy list. 😊

Waterproof

I would like to see longer visual results, meaning rain water beading the beading effects do not last long other than that it’s a good product, also I think it needs to be much thicker so when your applying on a vertical surface it stays longer and fights evaporation better during the application stage.

I’ve been using this for a number of years and am very pleased. My only issue is that it is rather expensive but then you get what you pay for and this stuff is truly great.

Easy to use

I was actually in the garage prepping to apply the Ghostshield when this email came. At this point there no way to review the effectiveness of the product, only that the application is not difficult.

Great product if prepared properly

Works well as advertised, if you do the prep work. A lot of pressure washing, etching, more pressure washing let everything dry, wait for the proper temperature and rain free days. Easy to apply and coverage is as stated on product label. Does dry and it sheds the water after a few days. Not a quick one and done local hardware product, but if you want to invest the time and money will give you great results. Time will tell if it will hold up as stated.

Siloxa tek 8500 👍

I have used this product several times since my new concrete driveway had been installed. I apply it myself. It’s easy to do with a roller and all I need is a few gallons of distilled water. I power wash first of course. I’m a 62 year old female and have had no problems doing it myself. The rain water then beads right off. It leaves no shine, film or discoloration which is great. I must admit that it is a process so I only do it every other year. I give the product 5 stars.

Excellent product. Previously used 8505 on new driveway 5 yrs ago. Still holding hope. Water beads right off.

Pool Deck Seal

I’ve worked with many concrete sealing products but this is by far the best I’ve seen. The application leaves no residue, does not affect the color or texture of the surface, cleans up easily, and is easy to apply. Water beads almost into balls on the surface, yet the deck isn’t the slightest bit slippery.

Used on front porch. Went on easily and works just like described. Water is beading up and easily swept of if needed. Wont kmow about salt resistance until winter.

I just sprayed the 8500 on the concrete patio. Pray for rain in 24 hours to see the results. Easy to apply and simple to use. I have told many about Ghostshield.

So far so good

The application was easy using a sprayer. My pavers are over 10 years old and every year I have to power wash them to get rid of mold and moss, so it's exciting to see the water bead off the surface. Hopefully the product will live up to it's label and last 3-5 years. ;)

The Ghostsgield worked great. I sprayed it on my driveway and sidewalk. Repels water just as advertised. Good product.

Best sealer we’ve ever used!

Siloxa-Tek 8500 is the best concrete sealer we have ever used on our stamped concrete pool deck. We have a saltwater pool, and have used other sealers over the years. But the Siloxa-Tek 8500 distinguished itself early-off when water from the pool just beaded-up on the surface. It went on easily with a garden sprayer and 18” paint roller (we used two to do the job faster), the coverage was as advertised for two coats. The real test will be to see how long it lasts. All other products we tried didn’t last much longer than one season, despite claiming longer and costing a lot. Siloxa-Tek 8500 was a good price for what appears to be a great product. We had a little of the prior seal we used (cost about the same) left over and I noticed it was not as deep milky-white as the Siloxa-Tek 8500, which was very deep white - clearly a more concentrated formula.

Order Details and delay

I've used this product (8500) and the 4500. I needed another gallon of each and I went on-line and ordered both (6/9//2024) with a three day store delivery picke (6/12 available). Checking my order status, HD ordered the products directly from Ghost Shield. The order processed 6/10/2024, Monday, pickup on 6/14/2024. I could have ordered directly from Ghost Shield, (as I have done in the past, with free shipping), but Home Depot said it was a two day pickup timeframe.

Works well

I use this to seal the brickwork and artificial stone on my house. It's a great product. Unfortunately, I ordered the premix when I should have ordered the concentrate. Will order again after I see how far the premix goes.

Amazing stuff

I got this because I read it was bird bath safe. My birdbath was getting older and had a couple very minute cracks which still let the water leak out quickly. I sealed the cracks with aquarium safe silicone and then used this product to seal the whole thing.
