Overpriced and only fits 30-45 pair, wobbly
Over priced for what it is. Doesn't really hold 60 sets of shoes as fabric the shelves are set to closely together and shoes above hang down into space below not leaving enough room between them for shoes to fit. In reality it will hold more like 30-45 pair as you end up removing shelves to fit shoes. With some of the sections removed it does the job but not very sturdy.
My shoes aren’t under my bed anymore!
Works great for me! So much space and so easy to maneuver. I’m a woman’s size 7, and I think it’s ideal for that size. It might not work as well for very big shoes, and only the top can accommodate anything taller than a hiking boot. Some reviews said it was hard to put together/follow the instructions. I didn’t find it difficult, but I’m decently handy. And I didn’t use the instructions. I’m so happy with it!
Poor quality - Unstable - Cheap
This is very unstable. The metal bends, the wheels are loose and topple over. Wheels don’t lock well. Super cheap materials. Poor quality. Looks ugly, the racks are mesh not wire. Only fits two pairs of shoes per row. Light weight shoes only. Anything pointy like a women’s shoe would stab through mesh
good size not the best for bigger shoes.
I'm really not sure if this is going to hold 60 shoes, my husband and I both have bigger feet size 11 and 12 they fit well on the top rack but anything lower we have to turn them sideways and only have one pair on that shelf. It does work well for smaller shoes like my youngest kids and my older kids shoes mite fit another year or so. Also it was a little bit of a pain putting the mesh part on the rack itself. But other than it being harder to put bigger shoes on and the assembly it works well just hoping it last a long time.
Missing parts
Looks very big , does take awhile to put together. Overall seems nice but was missing 2 parts needed . Customer service was nice which is a plus but takes 5 to 7 days to get parts in that are needed. Or I can disassemble, drive hour to nearest walmart, and then back and re-assemble it again. Needed it cause our other shoe rack broke 2 days and there's shoes pilled everywhere by the door. Made a late night stop to get this and now I have to wait a week. Not the end of the world but unconvenient that's why I give it only 4 stars .

Bought to repurpose as a ribbon holder. 5 star!!
Love this! I actually bought it to store my ribbon spools so I didn't even attach the sling part. It honestly didn't hold as many y as I had hoped but being on casters was HUGE. super easy to roll out and roll back out if the way. Only about 28in or so wide so fits in compact spaces. I added thick coated wire across the open sides but am thinking of just hanging some wire and stack even more in the open inner space. Right now it has my unused wreath forms hanging from the center top pipe. Make sure you evenly distribute the weight when loading the ribbon it can flip if on side is too heavy. I alternated sides and added my wreath forms in the center to help add weight and hold it steady while I got it filled up
Meets the need for an affordable price
The Mainstay rolling shoe rack does do the job. And for ($39?) really, it meets the need at a very reasonable price. It isn't as sturdy as I would ideally like, but it was so affordable! And I love that Walmart offers affordable options. The mesh shoe holders are sturdy enough. Putting it together was fine, had all pieces. The only beef have is that the wheels keep falling off. Maybe I put them on incorrectly? But, it works! And most shoe boxes fit.
Don't waste your time or money
I really wanted to love this because it is exactly what I need. However, after putting it together %26 getting all of my shoes on it...not even the 60 it says can hold , it is completely unstable. It's leaning like it will topple over and the wheels are not turning but sliding on my floors. It actually scratched my brand new wood floors. I just wasted an hour trying to use bungee cord to give it stability which did little. (Was worth a shot) Now, do I take it back apart %26 return it or just use the dumb thing until it breaks? No good answer, just tons of wasted time. I gave it
Just ok
It took me about 1 hour to assemble. The wheels have to be pushed in hard to click. I stored my shoes sideways so they would not stick out, so less fit. I was able to put a flats shoe box on a shelf as well. Taller boots can go on the upper shelf. I will need a 2nd one for just my sneakers. I have my black work shoes on one side, and tan or beige, gold, etc personal shoes on the other. I don't have a closet to tuck it away at the moment, so it will live in my foyer for the short term. Eventually I will have a custom closet framed and built to hide this behind panel doors or curtains. It's quite unattractive. I use baby wipes to dust off the bottom of my street shoes so the mesh is nice because it allows them to dry off. I keep the huggies bin below. I also have a small shoestore bench with mirror and trash bin close by. My previous shoe closet was rubbermaid white melamine shelves on a track every 6 inches and I much prefer that. But I didn't want holes in the wall. It's pretty tall. I will ask my mom to sew me a custom slip cover out of a lacey cream fabric that is breatheable and has two slits with ties so I can hide the clutter. I will buy another soon when I count how many shoes I have left and sell the ones I don't use. I did the assembly while waiting on laundry, and it was simple enough just tedious. I recycled the outer box, which had a razor slit in it all the way through to the plastic bag on the mesh from an employee opening the case. It wasn't damaged thankfully. The outer box could use a handle but it's lightweight enough for a teen to manage alone. I out the soles together and flip one so they make a square and was able to put about 4 pair of flats, two by two. Size 9- 10 womens. I don't really reccommend this but I just needed something for now. I would have liked a top shelf for a socks bin. It was alittle wonky also. One side is curved in alittle. I just needed to get them off the floor. The ones that have a shoebox will be stacked nearby. I don't like the colors, silver and black. I would have preferred white and tan. I hope this will make dressing easier and more elegant. I have a collection of beach flip flops so those will probably stack 3 high sideways, so 6 pair per shelf. I'm not storing any high heels because I am middle aged and I stopped wearing them many years ago. The few I still own are in a plastic bin. I'm hoping to use the gym more often so having my colorful trainers handy will motivate me. This has no pockets for insoles or extra laces. No purse hooks either. I really liked the BHG metal and laminate stackable ones but it's out of my budget for now to make a tower. Have a good one!
Compact Design
This cart is excellent with some caveats. It's great for the cost.
[Rewarded Review] Amazing Life Saver
As a family of four, we have an insane amount of shoes. Up until this point, we were using a hanging shoe rack in the closet. While this served it's purpose, it was impractical with our winter coats. With the Mainstays 10 Tier Mesh Rolling Shoe Rack has been a much needed upgrade. I now am able to find shoes much quicker and easier.
[Rewarded Review] Tall and spacious...
While I would recommend this shoe rack, I would, first, share the assembly instructions with anyone who has long passed the age where he/she can gleefully assemble furnishings with ease in order to save some money. Thirty years ago, I would have welcomed this challenge gladly and wholeheartedly, but as a disabled senior with severe spine, knee, and shoulder issues, it was difficult due to my own physical limitations and not because it was hard to put together in general. The instructions and pictures make assembly easy if you’re still in your nimble years. There are 41 parts to assemble and 48 screws to assemble them with. Once complete, you’ll have a shoe rack that is a little over five feet tall, wheels easily around (even on carpet), has wheels that can be locked into place, and will hold up to 60 pairs of shoes. It would actually only hold about 40 of my shoes, though, and I’m just a women’s size 7. However, since I never have and never will own that many pairs of shoes, I’m going to use one side for shoes and the other side for art supplies. Only time will tell how sturdy it is. You have to be super careful when tightening the screws while assembling because they will quickly and easily begin to squeeze the two sides of the supporting pole together. You cannot tighten the screws until they feel tight... just snug. If you’re missing a part, which I wasn’t, the company’s contact information is right in the corner of the assembly instructions. I’m really happy to have this Mainstays 10-Tier Mesh Rolling Shoe Rack and to have my shoes up out of a pile by my front door. I can’t wait to get my paints and paintbrushes on there, as well. It’s going to be so nice to have them organized and easily accessible! I have attached a picture of the assembly instructions and would definitely recommend this organizer to anyone to whom I could share those instructions with first... and only if they were an older individual like myself. To anyone under 60, I’d simply say, “Yes! You need this!” :-)
[Rewarded Review] Love this shoe rack
I love the shoe rack. I had one previous to this but it doesn't have the mesh and I can't stress enough how much difference the mesh makes. Not only can you store shoes on both sides because it's also on rollers but the shoes will not fall out the back like my other one has an issue with. It seems to be fairly sturdy even though it's really tall. I have fashioned my own hooks so that my boys can hang their backpacks on it. My youngest is constantly holding on to it while he puts his shoes on and off and their backpacks are fairly heavy so this is what leads me to believe that it's really sturdy because it has not been knocked over yet even though it's not leaning up against the wall or anything. I really love this, the only thing that was a little difficult was putting this together. I had help from my son while we were stringing the mesh or I'm not entirely sure how I would have been able to do it by myself it would have been much more difficult. He helped on one side while I did the other and then he tightened all the screws on his side at the same time I was tightening screws on my side so that made it go so much faster to build. It is put together with about 44 screws I think and an allen wrench. At first it tells you to put them all in and just tighten by hand and then after you put the mesh and put the other side on then you have to tighten all the screws with the Allen wrench. Totally worth it because this shoe rack is amazing. I would definitely recommend this shoe rack to anyone.
[Rewarded Review] ...Just DON'T follow the Instructions!
Upon unboxing, there were bags and bags of parts, which, at first, seemed a bit intimidating (see my photo). It was obvious that the finished project was going to be huge, so I decided to pick a movie to watch and utilized my queen-size bed as my work bench. Using the bed for a table turned out to be the perfect platform to build it on as, it was large enough, the height was perfect, and sinking the screws was super-easy utilizing my memory foam bed.
