They are surprisingly strong, so I only allowed 1/4 of each magnet to contact the steel.

One of the magnets just slips out of the casing. Not well made to hold the magnet in place.

Perfect for my pantry cabinet

This is a 2nd purchase of this magnet to secure my backyard door. Unfortunately they were out of the white color which means I'll have to paint over this one. Strong enough to hold the heavy door.

We needed to replace our old magnetic catches that had become brittle and disintegrated due to that part being in direct sunlight. So glad to find these on Homedepot.com. I measured them as you can see in the photos and the width is over 2” and was perfect for our needs, as there are two plantation shutters to each window. I’m hopeful that these will last longer due to they aren’t plastic.

I installed them. They are cheap plastic. So far one magnet already pulled right out of it and had to be replaced. Others, the plastic bends when screwed in. Very disappointed

Magnets have a great hold. We are using to hold an outdoor shower door closed in the wind and it works great.

It does what it is suppose to do. Magnet is strong.

This was a great and inexpensive solution to a couple of cabinet doors that would not stay shut (the old latches had broken). The latches were easy to install, and the magnets are strong enough to hold the fairly heavy doors closed. I am pleased and can easily recommend this product.
