The control/junction box is mounted inside the fan shroud which was convenient, but the punch out for the electrical connection was in the wrong place which made it very difficult to pull the electrical wire in and to add the wire nuts. The temperature control & the punch out hole are at one end of the box when it was clear the the punch out should have been at the other end of the control/junction box.

Gable vent cools my Mobile Home

I have a mobile Home. I pulled the Heater unit out and reworked the heater roof vent to 18". I installed this gable vent to pull heat out of my home. The vent is mounted horizontally and is not that noisy and actually runs quite and smooth. The thermostat feature shuts the fan on and off when I am not home. I am pleased with the way it has worked out

The product works out fine just wish the motor had oil ports, but I know manufacturing doesn’t want parts to last

Quiet and quite effective

This fan is inexpensive, it's easily installed, it runs quietly and it does a fine job of pulling the hot air out of my attic. I'm looking forward to lower electrical bills!

The fan worked for two weeks and died. I will be returning it as soon as I am able. I have had knee replacement surgery and am unable to climb ladder to remove/return it

Perfect for an older home with gables that need a little extra help. Like the thermostat setting that allows it to automatically kick on and off. You do need someone with some electrical know-how to install it, given it is to be hardwired in.

Difficulty reaching Home Depot’s installation Center. Phone just rang and rang no matter time of day or evening. When I managed to reach someone she took my info and phone number and said 3 different installers would reach out. Only one phoned and left a message that was indecipherable. I assume fan will work when and if installed!
