Basic lamp for your desk. Great price from Best Buy, if you have to very easy returns.

This lamp is so perfect for all our needs. I had originally purchased one to place next to my sewing machine, and now have purchased a second one for my husband’s desk. It is perfect in size and design. Having the power switch on the base is very convenient. Most important, the lamp does not overheat like other gooseneck lamps. I love this lamp. Thanks Walmart.

poor shipping

Ok..i was not happy how lamp arrived. Box was torn %26 smashed in on the sides. Then took very long to get to my home. Nothing warns you it doesn't come with a bulb or what wattage to use. Dont go over 40watts! Lamp does work but much smaller than i thought it would be. So this was alittle pricey.

Tiny

The box that the lamp came in was smashed. The lamp is small, practically tiny. The light bulb protrudes a lot from the shade, so it does not give a directed spot of light.

Awesome lamp

Perfect lamp for us! We wanted a simple lamp with an on and off switch and a flexible neck. This has that and provides plenty of light! Love it and highly recommend it!

Good for the price.

Love the black and white -- the exact colors I wanted, but it's a lot smaller than I was expecting. It doesn't fit on my desk real well. I have to keep it bent way down so the light isn't shining directly in my eyes. I'll keep it, but I'll continue to look for something that fits the space better.

Great sturdy lamp, standard plug and bulb size

So pleased with this good quality affordable and sensible desk lap. I couldn't believe how difficult it has been to find one that isn't complete garbage. This one is made of metal, and appears to be well constructed. It is compact but not wimpy in size, and weighty such that it won't tip over. The gooseneck is also thick and seems sturdy, very flexible for adjusting however you like. The lampshade is thick metal to protect the bulb and the bulb doesn't stick out past the edge of the lampshade. It takes a standard bulb base, I am using an LED bulb to benefit from the energy savings, and that works great. The on-off switch is simple and seems sturdy, located on the base, just push to switch, not one of those twist types positioned at the top of the lampshade that are kinda irritating to use. The plug is also sturdy and a sensibly useful length. Interior of the lampshade is also white, so you get plenty of light, and the light pool spread is very good. For all that, you get a bargain price.

Returned

I purchased this lamp without any high expectations. It's a basic lamp that has a rocker on/off switch. Problem I had was the box it was shipped in was perfect without any damage, but the box the lamp came in was obviously opened and returned. The lamp was missing screws that held the base on and would not sit flat. The lamp came with a light bulb new in the box that would not fit the lamp. It had a different base that was too small. Had to return it back to the nearest office depot that isn't very close. All this for a very inexpensive Lamp.
