So very lame

As a longtime user of the liquid hand soap dispenser, I was looking forward to this new foaming version. Wow, was I disappointed! Output is weak, yet still manages to spray mostly onto the sink and counter. Plus it goes off every time the steam hits it, so much more soap was wasted than ever got near my hands. Go back to the drawing board, SH -- this product should never have been taking to market.

Did not work

Could not get this pump to dispense soap. Performed all the steps listed on the website and in the videos (priming, clearing vents with toothpick, changed the straws) multiple times. My husband tried the same steps and it started working but only dispensed a pea-size portion of soap. Spent several hours just trying to troubleshoot. Gave up and sent it back. I previously purchased another pump, not foaming, and it splashes the soap all around unless you cup your hand just so. Going back to using that one.

Performance does not live up to the great appearance

The first Simple Human item that does not get a 5 star rating from me. Despite days of priming and charging and changing flow tubes, the foam that sputters out in 5 passes of the motion detector is not sufficient to wash my hands. My wife wanted me to send it back but I got rid of the packaging.

I love the sensor foam pump. In fact, I love it so much that I bought three more! One problem though....after refilling it for the first time it no longer dispensed foam and I thought that it was broken already. I used the support page to troubleshoot but to no avail. I even had a friendly chat with support. It turns out that the soap was defective. I had just purchased six bags of Simple Human lavender foaming hand soap. Support sent me little containers of foaming soap and voilá, it's back to foaming soap!

Handy

The concept of touchless soap dispensers is a great concept. This one is attractive wherever it’s used in your home. This is my third one in 10 years. The two before this one lasted slightly beyond warranty which makes them fairly expensive. I had trouble with the new one right out of the box. I would have given it 5 stars were it not for the longevity issues as well as the Customer service issues which used to be excellent. Now everything is chat based making it very time consuming and impersonal. Speaking with a person is my preferred way to communicate and troubleshoot. Chatting on an AI platform to even get to someone to help is not my preferred way to troubleshoot. Then you still have to chat with someone by typing everything to try to get them to understand the issue to resolve it. I wouldn’t recommend this to friends and family. SH customer service used to be excellent but now are mediocre at best.

Almost great if not for…

Product looks great and I like the fact it has rechargeable batteries however the actual soap dispensing is less than impressive.

It’s ok, not great. They aimed high but fell short

First impression, clever design to hide all the controls and sealed magnetic charging. However have to keep proprietary charging cable. Would be good if industry adopted this interface.

Looks cool but very unpredictable

We have the standard Liquid Sensor Pump and love it. It is convenient, reliable, and looks great. I decided to buy a Foam Sensor pump for our kitchen to give foam a chance.

I have purchased 3 of these foam sensor pumps as Christmas presents and had 2 of them stopped working They are under warranty so I made a claim and received 2 pumps in there place just a few weeks ago. One of the two new pumps has already stopped working. I will be filing another claim. I also purchased 2 of the soap dispense. I purchased two of the liquid soap dispenser at the same time i purchased the foam pumps and they are still working. We feel there is a flaw in the dispenser for the foam. If I had known this was going to happen all of my purchases would have been the liquid soap dispenser instead of the foam pump. I am very disappointed in this product. I paid a good bit of money for these and I must keep using the warranty. My warranty is only good thru the 2 year from the first purchase and what will happen when these new one need to sent back? I love the concept on the foam dispenser but this is not a good product.

A little dissappointed

I have always liked my simplehuman products however I am a little dissappointed with this soap pump. First, I found the directions a little confusing even though, or perhaps because, they are simply written. A little more information would have been helpful. Three tubes are provided to control the amount of foam distributed. I installed the largest of the three and I still have to move my hand at least twice to get enough foam to adequately wash my hands. This is even when holding my hand several inches below the nozzle, the position which is supposed to provide the most foam per pump. I tried repriming the pump and reinstalling the tube with no change. I will continue to use it as I do like the fact that it is hands free but a little more foam per pump would be nice.

Overall, Lousy and Frustrating

All told, I have purchased three of these units and owned five. They look nice and four of the five worked well out of the box. The first two I purchased failed within the warranty period and I was advised the cause was inadequate sealing leading to water intrusion, corrosion and failure. These were replaced under warranty. By the time I reached three years from the initial purchases one unit was streaming watery soap (not foaming) and the other was producing a very "dry" foam. Suspect some sort of clog was to blame for each symptom but there's no serviceability besides a small tool to clear the soap inlet. That tool didn't resolve either issue. Anyway, with no warranty coverage I purchased the fifth. Out of the box it barely worked but that was fixed by changing the soap container. Then, the following morning, it's dead. No foaming soap, no lights, no response to attaching the charger cable. Nothing but frustration. So, I'm done with this product. Quality as measured by longevity in service performing the task for which it was purchased simply isn't there. So, I rate the product as lousy.
