Setting it up took a bit longer than anticipated, around an hour, but the result was worth it. The flames are lifelike, and the adjustable brightness is a nice touch. Quick and easy basement transformation!

Quick and easy room transformation. Two day project from start to finish. No drywall or electrical work required. I used the existing outlet to power the unit and left openings in the shiplap to access the existing outlet to the tv. The unit installs after the finished material is up and painted. It has a 3/4” flange that butts to the shiplap for a clean finish. It takes 4 included screws to install and you’re done. This fireplace has numerous color and heat settings that are controlled with the included remote. Good alternative to a gas unit as we had no way to run venting in our basement but still allowed for that warm fireplace feel.

Great option for a electric unit ...

Looks great in the space & provides the necessary heat for a basement. The look of the flames isn't perfectly realistic when compared to the British Fire models, but the price is right for our basement. If installed on the main floor, I'd still opt for a gas fireplace but I'm happy with the purchase.
