Color of fabric is not even close

I ordered 19 yards, that's all they had, of the gray fabric for several quilts. It came in several different shipments. I did expect to get a bolt, not cut-up pieces. The color is so wrong, I ordered gray but it looks like putty. Not at all what I needed. I will be ordering from somewhere else.

Quality is the same cotton as always, but this is the third time trying to order matching material for Joanns in the span of 2 weeks where the color of the material that arrived is vastly different than the color shown online. I feel like I can’t even order online anymore,-and we don’t live near a store. It’s frustrating and I’ve started looking for options besides Joanns. I can’t use neon hunter orange for a baby dress that needs to have a more muted orange lining like what’s pictured in the online listing.

I love cotton - and the variety. The quilt was made using the wide variety of colors - such a keepsake. The quilt reflects the high/low temperature for each day (31 blocks wide). She was born February 19th (the only white in the quilt). I noted the high/low daily temps as well as fabric colors they represent in the frame as one needs to understand the quilt to totally appreciate it.

[Rewarded Review] Color is way off from online picture

I just received the Sew Classic Solid Cotton Fabric. I ordered Ash and color looks just like color Vapor Blue in online pictures. The fabric itself is very nice, but color is way off. Just be aware of colors being much lighter than pictured. I was hoping for a deeper grey tone. Probably best to purchase in store to get correct color match, but I'm not driving and took a chance with online purchases. Order did arrive in a timely manner, though!

Color Completely Different

I would avoid JOANN in the future as the color depicted is ridiculously different.. not just a little. It is a bright blue-turquoise (not a teal) not this darker shade, which is a teal. Money out the window. The pic enclosed is NOT with a flash, just natural light.. Obviously accurate color is central to a material seller.

[Rewarded Review] Fabric tears easily

I purchased this fabric to make lap quilts for a local nursing home. I made a beautiful quilt. Washed it prior to giving it away. Found many seams ripped and fabric fraying. Repaired seams by hand. Rehashed. Only to find more seams ripped and frayed. Repaired and washed again. More seams ripped and frayed. Quilt is trash. A lot of wasted money and time. Will never buy again.

not great

This cotton is very thin see thru type. I bought the light yellow which was a pretty color. I used it on the back of a decorative pillow and put a zipper in it. The material puckered while sewing the zipper and the material actually ripped at the seam when I went to stuff the pillow. This fabric is only good for maybe a lining. I would not put it in a quilt, it will not hold up. I have to double it to use elsewhere. Would not buy again except as a lining material.

Inaccurate color, decent fabric

I bought this in the color "Bright Royal Blue." I've been buying different colors/styles of cotton fabric to make face masks during the pandemic, and I decided on this one because my fiancé asked for a royal blue color, and it was 50% off at the time. The picture on the website is a bit ambiguous, but I was expecting a deep, saturated royal blue color, and in person, it's just a medium blue. I've added photos taken in natural light to show the true color, for others looking at buying this fabric.

It came in 2 pieces

I bought 3 yards of the black cotton. It arrived in 2 pieces (1 yd and 2 yds) and the black was different for each. Not the same dye lot. I needed it for the lining of a jacket. Obviously, 2 pieces won't work. When I finally got through to customer service, they told me they can't guarantee it will be in 1 piece. Nowhere on the listing does it say this. Yes, I'm rather angry, but take this as a warning. Buyer beware. If you want it done right, go into your favorite store and have them cut it. I only ordered online because I was under quarantine.

Color Inaccurate

The quality of this fabric is great. However, the colors are pretty off from what the pictures show. My husband thinks maybe Joann's listing is incorrect and these are different fabrics listed under an incorrect name, or maybe not. Who knows! I can only imagine how bright the brighter colors are.
