Important: Get all necessary accessories

I purchased the Straight Edge LED Strip Light, to be used in a closet with a magnetic door jamb. In order for this light to work, it is necessary to also get the necessary low voltage cable, a transformer and of course whichever switch you are looking to use it as well. Even though at the end of the day the lights look great, it took my electrician several days to manage to wire and install these lights, not to mention the additional expenses for all the accessories. In conclusion, I would not recommend this light for cabinetry or closet use.

Completely Satisfied!

I installed this system under my new cabinets and couldn't be more satisfied. It is hard-wired and controlled with a wall switch. The system was easy to install. I struggled a little with the two light levels and went with the higher output and very happy with the choice. Perfect light for tasks.

Pop of light in the kitchen

Used it for my kitchen under cabinet lighting, the white light glow is radiant cool and gives a cozy ambiance.

Small but powerful

When I placed my order at the last minute ylighting not only gave me all the info I needed but also sent my package out quickly. After the installation of the lights I thought it would be too small but to my surprise it gave off more light than the previous fixture. Thanks ylighting.

dimmable LED

Have used this for several projects. Happy with the even warm white lighting and contractor is happy with ease of installation. Housing is very low profile and feels a bit more substantial that the taped on type of LED strip lighting.

Excellent strip light -- at a price!

These variable length LED strip lights are the way to go when you need to light a display shelf or cabinet. They're svelte and easy to mount unobtrusively. Not cheap, but the best I've found for the purpose. Only wish they came with a mounting option to use as picture lights, though it might be possible to rig them for the purpose. I chose the warmer color output and am happy with the effect. You do have to drive these low voltage lights with a pricey transformer, but the overall result is excellent.

Great Light for fixed length LED

I do custom kitchen renovations and I purchased several of these for a recent project. We were looking to light up the interior upper sections of wall cabinets where I had installed glass panels instead of wood...so the client could display art pottery pieces and such. We didn't want to use puck lights and we didn't want the lights mounted to the top of the cabinet. These lights worked great because they give off great light with no heat and all you do is plug them into the transformer....no special wiring needed.....but you do need to order the transformer separately. I mounted them to the front edge of the shelf inside the door so that when you look up at the cabinet the door hides the fixture while the cabinet box is fully lit up! Client loves them!

Fabulous light!

I needed an LED tape light that would work well in a commercial food service environment...this light was perfect! Super easy to install and provides great light for the displayed food.
