Nice Look, Tough Assembly, Tricky Drawers

This nightstand looks just like the pictures and is perfect in my room. However, the assembly required an electric drill even though the instructions said power tools not recommended, so I had to hire someone to do it. Also, the drawers don’t slide out easily, as they’re just wood on wood. Overall, the look of the product compensates for its downsides.

It’ll do the job (I think), but it’s cheap

Overall, I think this dresser will do the job, but it’s not what I thought it would be. Materials are quite cheap and the wood damages extremely easily. There’s a big scratch on the front of one of the dresser drawers that was there as we were putting it together, but because it took so long to put together, I I just couldn’t imagine going through the process of asking for a replacement. I am disappointed in the quality and the extremely scratchable surface. from a visual standpoint, it is a cute dresser. We will be using this as a baby dresser/changing table and I’m hoping it will stand up to the task.

1. This is made of mostly pine wood, so while yes, it’s real wood, it’s not as solid as I expected.

Some flaws but solid

Pros: the style and stain matches my bed frame that it looks like they could be a set. It’s solid and the drawers offer a lot of storage.

Better Quality

I expected this to be like most boxed furniture from a big brand store. Made of pressed particle board that would soak up anything that spilled and layered with some faux wood grain vinyl. Opened the box to find actual wooden boards of good quality and none of that twist and lock hardware! Actual screws for fasteners. Better Quality than most boxed furniture!

Eh probably don’t get this

The instructions were clear on how to build, however it was hard to get some of the screws all the way in. So there are some screws sticking out because they wouldn’t go in further, no matter how much I tried. After getting it together, the drawers don’t go in all the way and once I got it to close they were hard to open back up. I just don’t feel like the drawers should be difficult to open and close. Cute nightstand but assembly shouldn’t have been that difficult.

They may look nice in the photos, but they are poorly crafted, especially the drawers. The slides are so poorly designed that the drawers are much too loose in horizontal dimension. They move from side to side and get misaligned, and yet the vertical fit between the runners and the slots in the drawer sides is tight enough to cause too much friction, making them difficult to pull out and push back in.

I really love the finished look and sturdiness of these nightstands. So why the 3 ⭐ I really wish that I could give it a four star or five star rating, but unfortunately the actual assembly of the nightstand was so difficult that I have to deduct points. When they say that this is solid wood they really do mean it but unfortunately they havent pre-drilled holes for ease of assembly. Even using a power drill proved to be difficult.

Wish it had metal slides and not cheap wood on wood

One of the drawers was scuffed. It’s only lightly painted white so looks cheap but wasn’t.

Scratches Easily

I just finished putting this together and the dresser is already covered with scratches all over… I purchased the walnut color and the scratches are very noticeable. However, the piece overall looks nice and is a good size. I wouldn’t say do not buy it but be careful with the panels when assembling. Assembly also takes roughly 2-3 hours as there is a lot of screwing to be done

Myriad parts to assemble, but easy to follow instructions made this a breeze to put together. Nice looking side table. The material is wood, not MDF or MFC.

This is the second dresser that we have purchased because we loved the first one so much and had been great in our son’s room. We got another for our daughter.
