Meh; good enough

Pretty easy to set up. There was cardboard on the inside of the barrel which had an adhesive on it that took awhile to clean out (not sure how safe that is for pets??). The biggest disappointment was that the water doesn't come up to the top of the bowl. My cat doesn't like her whiskers touching the sides of the bowl, and the water has a good half an inch of space between the "full bowl" and the edge of it. It's good enough for now, and I might find a way to cut down the sides, but wish I had known that before purchasing.

It works without the filter and some modification.

I have the 0.5 gal version of this product and it works great for the cat. I can use the filter and I have never had any issues with it in over 5+ years of use. This 2.5 gal one for the dog however, has some design issues. First, if the filter is installed and you put the jug into the base, the bowl won't fill with water. Second, the grey base is too flimsy for the water weight and the black cap bottoms out on the bowl. So what I did was removed the filter, and drilled holes in the side of the black cap so water could still fill into the base/bowl. It works, but only with the filter removed and some additional holes added.

I ordered the wrong size for 2 big dogs but I will keep it because I am able to give them fresh water mote often. It was a replacement for a much bigger one that lasted 3 years before the plastic started cracking and leaking.

Plugged

Bought this smaller water bowl but it doesn't let the water flow into the bowl. Tried the filter, flipped it, but nothing. Without the filter it just keeps on leaking into the bowl. Not happy.

it’s literally terrible. It only allows flow of like half an inch of water on the bottom literally terrible

Holds so much water!

All three of my dogs and two cats can drink out of this for a week with clean water!

Doesn’t release water

This waterer stopped releasing water shortly after it was put in use. We use these type waterers for years without problem.

I have had a similar one for many years. Got this one so I could change out one for the other when I am cleaning one, and as backup in case the old one gave up after years of use.

How simple it has become to keep fresh water.
