Have had this in my home for over 4 years and it has held up well. Sturdy construction and nice rich color. I use it to hold toys for when my grandchildren visit.

I wanted to love this one because we purchased the same one previously. However this one came with buttons on top so they didn't match and we definitely don't want buttons on a bench that will be used for kids. I liked the older style that was tufted without the buttons. Otherwise it's a good ottoman but a little less sturdy than our previously purchased one.

I have long been a fan of Safavieh products, and this one is no exception. It is a stylish and practical piece. I use it in my library to hold extra throws and pillows. Very good quality, looks terrific, and built like a tank. Love it!

Great purchase for the price

Well made. Is holding up well after having it for 1+ years. The feet are solid which was a big plus for me. I have another bench from another vendor that has wobbly feet. The bench is finished in fake leather but it doesn't look fake.

Extravagant Look on a Budget.

This small Saddle Brown Manhattan storage chest works very well with the style of furniture in my family room. The leather trim of the furniture is the same color and pattern as the faux leather of the chest , which brings the price of the chest very affordable, while looking like real leather. I will be using it by a lounge chair as an ottoman. The faux leather will be easy to maintain and clean. The extra storage will serve to store seasonal things like throws or pillows. I'm really happy with it and recommend it highly.

This is a nice sized chest and holds several throws which are mainly used in the winter. It serves a dual purpose as an ottoman/coffee table. I ordered the sable Brown and it is pretty. However if ordered again I would go with a darker color which would better match our furniture. Good product for the price.

great for storage. leather look

nice piece of furniture that is used to store blankets. I am not sure the material is the best quality, but it has held up very good. just a little too vinyl looking for my taste. that said, it looks identical to the photo, and quality is good. might be perfect for you.

Stylish and Functional

I really love my new storage bench. Exactly as depicted. Arrived in a timely manner and packaged to ensure intact delivery. Roomy storage reduces clutter by front door. Perfect for extra seating. The saddle color blends in nicely with other furniture.

PERFECTION

I am so impressed by the quality workmanship of this product. The leather is so supple and the color is just perfect. We have a neutral palate and it's just the perfect pop of color. There are tinges of ORANGE which I just simply adore. It fits perfectly in the small space we picked out and holds all of our quilted throws perfectly. It's great to have extra seating, and we pull it over to the coffee table on game nights.

Nice Looking Bench

I received this today and am mostly pleased. The color is only slightly darker than the photo but is a beautiful shade of brown. In my opinion, it looks so much nicer than leather pieces that are dark brown or black.The interior storage is a good size with nice black lining. It looks great at the foot of our queen bed.I am taking off one star as it arrived with a small tear in the leather in a very visible place. It came assembled and wrapped up so it must have been torn before it was shipped. It's too much trouble to return for a small defect. So inspect yours carefully when it arrives!

Absolutely gorgeous piece! You can't go wrong!

While this piece is a bit on the expensive side (I would like to see a fair price that's cheaper), it is absolutely gorgeous. The finish is very durable and scratch-resistant, even with several cats in the house who love to climb furniture. Great for bedroom storage of blankets, or as a sitting bench for the living room. Very nice quality. I originally purchased a larger version of this bench, after which I chose to add this little gem. Gorgeous piece.

Classy appearnce and well-made

This storage bench looks great and is very functional. It has sturdy hinges on both ends, so it should last a long time. I have purchased a Safavieh brand ottoman in the past, so I knew I could expect good quality design, covering, stitching, and construction, and I was not disappointed. The older ottoman I have is holding up well under normal use. Though this product is labeled "bench," I'll be using it as an ottoman as well with an armchair I recently purchased. It is a great space-saver, with plenty of storage and can provide extra seating in a pinch. I would recommend this product.

Great Bench

This is the 7th leather bench / ottoman I have purchased from Overstock, the 3rd of this particular style, 2 in black, 1 in red. It seems very well made and substantial. The size is just what I needed and that, of course, influenced my purchase decision. There is ample storage room inside, for small items, maybe a few pairs of shoes, the lid stays open when in the upright position. I keep shoe related products (shoe laces, polish, brush, insoles etc. in mine in the rear entrance area to my home. The tufted top gives this piece a nice designer look. Time will tell how the bi cast leather will hold up with use. Please note that this is a bench and not an ottoman as it is higher than an ottoman, but the perfect height for a bench. Delivery was in a couple of days, the item was very well packaged and there was no assembly, though I did replace the square block feet with round bun shaped feet to protect bare toes from impact damage. Less

Beautiful Piece of Furniture!

Okay, so I have been looking for storage ottomans ever since I ditched my oversized sofa, chair, and ottoman a year ago. My new, smaller, sofa makes more sense in an apartment. However, because it has a chaise section, finding something in just the right size to serve as a coffee table has been a challenge. Many coffee tables are too large. I didn’t want fussy details. And, because I am a hopeless klutz, I wanted to avoid sharp corners that would bruise and scrape my legs.I decided that a leather storage ottoman would be a great choice, because it could serve multiple purposes (coffee table, storage, extra seating, in a pinch) and add an extra layer of texture to my living room. I found the small, Manhattan storage bench on Overstock about a year ago. I wrangled over the various color options. It comes in red, dark brown, black, and a buttery caramel saddle shade. I decided on the red one, and got one click away from ordering it, but worried that it might not work with my rug. I also thought that I might be able to find a better deal locally. After searching high and low, I didn’t find anything that compared. I returned to Overstock and found it sold out. Sad face.A few weeks ago, in the mood for change, I purchased a rug from Overstock (Floral Light Green Rug # 11933889). Its deep red accent colors cried out for the red storage ottoman. Holding my breath, I searched for it and found it back in stock. Score!It arrived yesterday, well packaged in a sturdy shipping box, protected by a cloth bag and a layer of foam. There were even little wooden blocks to protect the legs. Not a scratch or a nick to be found. I really appreciated that it was fully assembled.Some have commented that these storage ottomans are a bit on the pricey side, but this is a quality piece of furniture. It is beautifully constructed, in gorgeous deep red leather; the seams line up perfectly. For those thinking of using it to store toys for small children, there is a soft-closing hinge that will not pinch little fingers. This also works for much older klutzy women! The interior is just perfect for storing games, Wii games and accessories, and a down throw. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to others! Less
