Like a piece of art

I ordered after looking at dozens of crates online. This crate popped up on instagram and I had exhausted all sites for dog crates. It looked really nice on the Fable web sight, so I went for it. It was unbelievable when it arrived. Perfect in size for my little Frencie. It's a beautiful wood product with a supper comfy pillow. So easy to put together and incredibly strong. It's heavy so it's not going anywhere. I have the lucite door with great visibility and actually has a soft close device,(no tails get caught). The door lifts up into the roof of the crate so no swinging door. Plenty of holes for circulation. I will get another for our boat. No one will regret purchasing this product. It really also works as a piece of furniture, a side table...Puppy loves it too

I think the Fable crate is a well-crafted and designed product. It has a nice weight and density to it and our 1.5-year-old puppy seems to enjoy it more than the previous product we were using. Overall, I think this is a great crate. The bit of feedback that I have is that the finish of the product does not look and feel as smooth and luxurious as the pictures make it out to be. The color of the plywood gives it an unfinished look. Additionally, our teething pup is taking nibbles on the bottom reinforcement panel and it is looking worn and tattered after only two weeks of use. These are minor complaints, but one I felt should be addressed due to the price point of this product. I will, however, recommend this to others.

Disappointed

Looked great on internet. We have the same breed pictured in the XS/S. it appears in the picture to fit just right and small enough for that breed. Once received and placed together, it is WAY too big for her and tall. Asked to return and was refused as in the fine print it states no refund bc of it being a “large furniture item”. Which it isn’t …. Customer service is awful. I would agree with a no refund if this was a customized purchase. Now stuck with a $500 crate.

Easily damaged

We tried it for 2 weeks. Our dog isn’t particularly a digger, scratcher or chewer…. But even light “bats” with paw leave very obvious scratches on the acrylic door. The cheap wood is prone to be chewed on and the bits are a danger for ingestion. Not happy with this for the price.

Can’t get ahold of Customer Service- ZERO response

Well, we put in an order, a large order for several products including the crate. At check out it said it would ship within 5-7 days. I emailed trying to get confirmation, and received one very vague response, that also now suggested it would be 4 to 5 weeks for the crate. I’ve emailed 4 more times and have received ZERO response or confirmation. There is no phone number or way to actually speak to someone. Awful customer service, and very misleading on the turn around time.

A bit disappointed with the quality

We were so excited about this crate because it looks stunning and perfectly matched our decor. For the price however, we were a bit disappointed with the quality. The bed arrived with a bunch of loose threads and the door on the crate is lopsided so one side hits against the wood and it doesn’t close properly. Looks great but not quite the quality we were expecting.

This is the best looking crate, so sturdy and easy to assemble...and my frenchie loves sleeping in it. Wish I had bought one sooner

Drastically better looking that the wire crates they replace; a bit small; bedding not my favorite

I purchased two of the new large sized crates for my greyhounds. The crate looks and feels high quality, and it was easy to assemble. The door assembly does take some height from the interior of the crate. Several days in and my dogs are still not excited about the change, so hopefully they will become the safe place their old wire crates were. My dogs do not like Fable’s dog bed, and I agree. While I like the quality of the Fable bed slip cover as seeming to be highly water resistant, the slip covers are too airtight and would benefit greatly from vents. Without vents the slipcover creates a balloon effect that slowly and annoyingly deflates while giving an unstable feel until the air eventually escapes.

HORRIBLE

HORRIFIC SERVICE..they sent me one too big and kept charging me and sending me 3 more..They are so big and take up so much room. They wont get back to me..NIGHTMARE

Question

I see no dimensions on the large crate. I have two 70 lb half lab and half German Shepherd dogs.

This is a luxury suite for my pup. My dog loves spending time in “her house”. It looks great in my space - much better than a metal or plastic crate. It is really beautiful. Assembly was easy. But this crate is expensive. It is very heavy; can’t really be moved around a lot. Definitely not designed for travel.

Best crate

I purchased the sm/xs crate for my very anxious havanese who does not like crates. To my surprise, she goes into the crate on her own and sleeps in it overnight without complaint. It was surprisingly easy to put together and very attractive. Absolutely looks like a nice piece of furniture with clean lines and quality materials including the wood finish. This is the best crate ever.

3.5 stars - aesthetic design and good quality, but scary door

the crate is easy to assemble with 2 people and looks great (the plywood seams are unfinished, so you see a lot of globs of glue along the front door/in the air holes, but not a big deal). the design is different than other crates because the door slides over your dog's head to open/close: this was a scary new trigger for my crate-trained dog who is used to crates with a normal swing door. fable is up front about this part of the design, but i didn't consider how long it would take to get my dog accustomed to this design, especially coupled with the huge bed that moves every time he steps on it. he was completely crate trained and loved his last cheap crate, and it's taken several weeks for him to get comfortable in this one, we are still working up to closing the door.

The crate is very well made. Sturdy construction and easy to assemble. Would definitely recommend.

Like a room

This crate is like a room for my dog. Although she is quite scared of the door and the functionality of how it opens an closes. SHe keeps wanting to escape every time I close it. I hope she gets used to it bc I don't know what I'll do with such a crate if she does not. But it's a great space and good quality wood. Very heavy and hard to assemble on your own.

Beautiful esthetic dog crate!!

This dog crate is truly beautiful! I am beyond happy with the product I will say I have a puppy and will eventually have to contact them for a new acrylic door because she has scratched it up pretty good! So if you are dealing with a brand new puppy definitely go with the white door! But it is beautiful I’m obsessed with the crate and I had great customer service with them!! I even ordered a bed, two bed covers and two treat loops to go on the side of the kennel to keep her busy!

AMAZING!!

Was super nervous after I ordered my crate, looking at the reviews seeing how many people were not impressed with theirs. HOWEVER, I am shocked by how they cannot be obsessed with it! I am in LOVE with this crate! The limited edition walnut finish is so beautiful and the color of the light blue bed I chose to go with it is just the perfect match! My 1 year old pembroke welsh corgi absolutely LOVES it! He was intimidated at first, as he watched me assemble it, then was confused as how it worked, but now he LOVES to hangout in his den all the time!! Would give it a million stars if I could! Saving up to by another one to go on the other side of my bed for when I get another dog, I’m that obsessed with this crate!!!!
