Just OK

I am still contemplating this peel and stick backsplash “tile”. Very flexible seems easy to install using an exacto blade to cut. It does look like tile but it also looks very much like vinyl. I haven’t returned it but I still might.

Good budget method to update tile

I bought these to redo my backslash in my kitchen because I didn't want to go through the effort of actually doing tile. The product says you can apply it over existing tile but I wouldn't advise it. That's what I did and the grout lines show through in the form of indentations that are visible, especially in the high gloss areas. They look quite good at a distance but you can tell they are basically stickers when up close. Overall I'm happy with how it turned out but it definitely isn't the same as actually tiling an area.

Looks good, but design flaw…

Looks great, but installation wasn’t as easy as hoped. We measured according to the website and ordered extra, but our space required 1.5 sheets high, and we were left with several half sheets that couldn’t be used because they only fit together a certain way. We ended up having to try to work backwards and have some pieces upside down to make it work, and there is one row where the pattern is obviously different. It’s behind our toaster oven so not super noticeable, but still kind of annoying. Besides this installation went fairly smoothly and it looks good! Definitely recommend caulking along the counters edge for a more finished look.

Much improved fireplace!

These are amazing! I was going to just paint the marble surrounding the fireplace, but in my research I’m glad I stumbled upon these tiles. This looks so much better than paint would have. These are very easy to use and the only trouble I had was on the corners since the marble surrounding the fireplace is 3-dimensional. I’m very happy with the way this turned out, it looks beautiful! After I finished, I bought more tiles in order to complete the black and marble floor in front of the fireplace. Hoping to complete that soon!

Very elegant!

Purchased these to update my plain kitchen. I was torn on which tile to go with, but I sent pics of my space to the Design Team and they pointed me towards the Milano Fabrini. I was looking for a tile that would work with my existing color scheme, but also any colors that I may go with in the future. The installation wasn't difficult, but let me offer you a tip that I didn't figure out until one tile in: if working from left to right - make sure that the the letter code and overlap writing on the tile is in the bottom left corner. If working from right to left the code and overall writing should be in the upper right corner of the tile. The tiles have given my space an elevated look. The various tones and sheens in the tile really help add dimension. My kitchen looks so pulled together now. These tiles are very realistic looking.

Perfect for RV's

Easy to work with and makes a great impact. Only needed a utility knife (fresh blade), straight edge or ruler (metal works best) and a cutting surface.

Milano Todi Back Splash

These tiles were perfect for our uneven back splash. It looked even better when I covered the lower ledge as well. One of the best things I can say is that you can easily re-position the tiles several times without any problems. Given our wall was so uneven, I did have to do this. But still, I was done in less than two hours. When I showed some of my friends, they thought I had someone come in and done work. We really love this. It picks up the pink wall and the reddish part of our flooring as well. I just ordered more to cover the opposite wall by the stove. I purchased the stainless steel protector for this project. I will post pix when it's all done.

Milano Massa Kitchen Backsplash

2/3 of the way through my kitchen remodel project and the results are what I hoped - Excellent! Two thoughts - Be certain to begin your project in the corner, not in the center like you might with wallpaper. And consider purchasing an old paper trimmer to get precise cuts and a very professional result. If you can't find one second hand you can purchase an inexpensive one from one of the box stores for about $30. Well worth the investment and can also be used for precise cutting of shelf liner.

Beautiful and super easy.

Beautiful and super easy to install. We have had 2 contractors think they were glass tile until they touched them. Order all you need at one time. We had an insurance claim and work done in the kitchen. Half of the Smart Tiles had to be removed. We ordered additional to replace and they are ever so slightly different in color (I see it, but no one else will). It was a different lot. Still one of my favorite things about my new kitchen!!

Best reno I’ve ever made!

The tiles look superb! They were easy to apply, the calculator was spot on but I would recommend adding a couple of extra for your piece of mind. My previous backsplash just didn’t look good with my decor even though it was put in relatively recently by someone who flipped this house. I felt a little guilty covering it, but hey- this is my house now and with the sale tiles I did the whole job for $150! (It’s a small kitchen.) With today’s open plan designs we spend a lot of time in sight of this kitchen backsplash!

Marvelous Milano Massa!

IT'S A LAUNDRY ROOM! But boy oh boy are we glad we decided to get these Smart Tiles for our wall protection needs. Not only do they make the room more a-pealing (those of you who have installed these can collectively roll your eyes) they do make it easier to wipe up water splashes and protect the walls. Really like the look and overall quality of the product. Glad we found these things in lieu of actual stone. Many people have commented thinking that it is real stone! Boarder gives it a crisp finish - it's worth getting.

Perfect for what we needed!

We found the perfect house to rent but the kitchen backsplash was not our taste. We wanted a cheaper option to cover the backsplash without ripping up the tile and redoing it. So I hopped on pinterest and it lead me to here and I’m so happy I did!! I ended up getting 60 of these particular ones since they were on sale for on $.99!! We have about 12 left over and wasted a few sheets from mistakes we made. To take up the tile sheet was too easy so if you mess up and have to reset the tile after you have stuck it on its a breeze! I am so satisfied with our new backsplash and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quick fix without breaking the bank.

Love love love these tiles!

I rent an apartment and pay $700 less in rent for having a unremodeled kitchen and fireplace. Being that I don’t own I’ve been stuck with my orange fireplace that doesn’t go well with my gray and navy furniture for 2 years! I truly can not believe what a different SMART Tiles made! I can not thank you enough! So easy to install by myself and some help from my 3 year old who loved making sure the tile was pressed down. From this single mom on a budget I thank you so much! I get superior quality on budget with such an elegant and modern look. I saved $700 a month on rent and have a nicer fireplace than the remodeled apartments in my complex! Can’t wait to do my kitchen backsplash!!!

Very affordable contemporary upgrade

Had a wonderful first time smart tiles experience when we redid the backsplash in our camper so, we decided to personalize the look in the camper bathroom, too. Got a great deal by being patient and watching the smart tiles site regularly with email updates. Tile looked just as expected and we couldn't be happier with the results. Adds an incredible contemporary feel to the space and makes our camper one of a kind. The only downfall was making an erroneous cut and Smart tiles wanted to charge us full shipping to have a single piece mailed. They did however offer the tile at a discount. This project took my husband a few hours to complete due to tile size and cuts needed but it was well worth it for the great result.

I decided to try my hand at a Smart Tile backsplash after getting an outrageous quote for a very simple tile backsplash. I figured worst case, if I failed at a DIY Smart Tile job, I could still hire a pro. I couldn't imagine how good it would come out! The tiles cut easily, and fit together perfectly. I saved over $1000 and still achieved the look I thought I could only get by hiring the job out to the professionals.

Too expensive for the quality.

I bought these to put in my camper because people raved about them. I have no experience with home improvement things, but I installed these myself. I couldn’t get a straight line when I cut so that made it difficult to align correctly. When I cut one in half or any off of a piece, you can’t use that tile again, and it’s wasted. I did the measurements and ordered what the site suggested for my bathroom and backsplash. Even ordered 2 extra. And after cutting and placing them, I had just enough for the backsplash. I paid $130 for these things and could prob of had someone instal the real thing for the same price and it would look nicer. These are plastic “bubbles” and look ok when your far, but if you’re close looking at them, they look cheap. Not impressed, and won’t be purchasing again.

Looks incredible!

These tiles made my van conversion really stand out. If this is your first time using these, be mindful that you have to be extremely careful with making each piece level. Just a slight raise in one tile can lead you to follow that an eventually when you stepback it will be uneven. Fortunately, I learned that lesson the last time I installed these so this one turned out much better. I've found that a good pair of scissors was very accurate for me. The texture of the tiles is great and gives an illusion that these are real, raised tiles. Well done smart tiles and please continue to make more modern designs like this. I am not a fan of most of your designs.

stylish, smart product. great for a quick refresh on a space.

i had a small studio space that needed a stylish and inexpensive update. a few years of wear and tear had started taking their toll on surfaces that previously looked good. i stumbled upon smart tiles, and was definitely intrigued. when i received them and took them out of the box, my first reaction was wow-- these are pretty! they definitely had a nice and intriguing finish. i mean i know they are vinyl- but they really do look like tile and they had an interesting mixed feel to them (i.e., their dual finish).
