Just received these and they do have a not so pleasant smell. I am going to wash and dry them and see if it helps any.. will update review if necessary. They feel and look good though

This is the first time I have tried the wool dryer balls. They are great. I hate the smells of fabric softener sheets. If I'm outdoors and the neighbors are doing laundry, I have to go back in the house.

Kinda worked

Worked ok on jeans, etc. Not so good on lighter weight materials.

I don't like to use dryer sheets on my towels because after awhile it makes them less absorbent. These wool dryer balls are the perfect solution, dry, fluffy, soft towels!
