This safavieh handmade soho purple/beige rug was less beige and more grey. I had to return it but loved the design. The image actually looks more white - disappointed.

I ordered this because I love the color purple. However, the color is way off. It is more of a magenta. It is made with great quality. It just didn't match anything I have. I had to return

Nice statement rug

This rug takes a stuffy pattern and makes it fun with deep gold and tan colors. It has a nice plush feeling underfoot, but it did shed quite a bit with the first vacuuming. I can’t say much as far as long term shedding because I returned it due to the color being darker than I expected. I can say that my other Safavieh wool rug shed a lot for a long time, but it eventually stopped and I haven’t noticed any decrease in the plushness.

price and quality align

The gold color is GREAT, the ivory is NOT ivory though - It's beige. But, it actually works out better for me that way. There were a couple picks, which I had to cut off. This rug feels more like carpet than a rug, which I also don't mind because it is oh-so-soft.

not what I thought

The rug itself if good but the picture of the colors is far off. It is dingy looking in comparison to the picture. I thought the gold would be brighter and the cream creamier. It's a dingy gold and beige actually. I tried to return it and on our end we messed that up so just kept the thing. That was my decision and had nothing to do with the return policy. I have no clue what to do with it and it will end up in garage sale or salvation army. It would have been perfect for what I needed it for had it looked like the picture.

Love this rug

I was a little worried about the color of this rug based on the other reviews, but the rug is awesome. It is perfect for my colorful room but it will transition nicely into a more mature place when I get around to replacing my comforter or decide to put it in a different room. Maybe could use a floor mat if it bothers you that it might slip around, but I haven't had any problems without one. Really this is a great rug and I am very happy with my purchase.

Not what they appear to be

Very nice qualtiy rugs, however the color was not as it appeared online. This, of course, is one of the perils of ordering rugs without seeing them in person. The other problem we experienced was the pattern on the 6X6 we ordered appeared to be a "blown up" enlarged version of the pattern on the runners. So when placed together in the room, the rugs looked dissimilar.

Color not as pictured

I have no issues with the product itself and if it was the color pictured, I would keep it. The color is listed as "Gold". The picture looks bright yellow and white to me, so I took a shot. In person, the yellow is more brown than yellow and the white is more taupe. As mentioned, there is no protective packaging aside from some plastic. The rug arrived with what looks to be a puncture wound. Fortunately, it did not go all the way through. I will be returning this.

Excellent Rug but realize it's GOLD!

This is a very durable rug, great quality, great design. I read that it said gold prior to purchasing but I was hopeful it was a little more yellow like the picture. Make sure you realize there is nothing yellow about this rug. I really do like it though and think the quality is great. Will definitely purchase another rug from Overstock.

wasnt what i thought

I was really excited to get my rug in the mail. after opening it, i was so disappointed. why you ask? it was so soft, perfect size, amazing quality, great design, BUT the color was nothing like the picture! i expected a yellowish color but i guess it was my own fault because the website does say gold. anywho, don't expect anything yellow or bright. its beige and brownish. love the feel of it though. unfortunately, i had to return due to the color but if they ever had the same rug in the color i wanted, i would def purchase.

Colors not as bright as shown in the picture

I really wanted this rug because it's hard to find nice yellow rugs and this one looked beautiful in the picture on the website. It arrived a week and one day after I ordered. I am disappointed with the colors: they are not as bright and contrasting as shown on the website, rather quite dull. The 'wow-pop' factor I was hoping for is not there. The 'ivory' is really a muddy beige-grey, and I should have believed the description that said 'gold' and NOT looked at the picture which shows 'lemon yellow' ...yes, the yellow is not yellow but gold or ochre-brown yellow...MUCH duller than shown on the picture. The quality seems ok but there are threads of wool coming off here and there, especially around the edges. The 'ivory' parts are slightly raised above the gold ones - enough so that you feel it underfoot. Other than that, the rug feels very plush. One other thing that really bothers me but it's probably something that will go away with time is the smell: the rug smells like gasoline or something...so bad that it gives me a headache if i'm in that room. I have not had this smell problem with other wool rugs bought somewhere else. I'm considering returning it due to the dullness of the colors.
