Exactly what I needed for a small space

This fit my needs perfectly. After a recent move, I needed to replace a large desk with hutch with something smaller to fit the new space. The fact that this came with a bookshelf made it perfect because everything I had in the hutch of the larger desk was able to be moved to this shelf. Both items were very easy to assemble and are sturdy and attractive. Couldn't be happier with my selection!

I use it in a smaller guest bedroom as a television stand and shelf for odds and ends. The only thing I dislike is the height of the bookshelf. I thought it would be taller. Guess I should have paid attention to the measurements.

Good Looking Desk - Difficult to assemble

The desk was perfect for the room. Assembly was difficult as the glue on the screws made assembly challenging with tools provided. One board snapped during assembly. Be very careful during assembly. Looks great though.

Best desk purchase I have ever made!

It took me MONTHS to find the perfect desk-one because I am very picky and two because the space where I wanted to place the desk has certain dimensions. I am SO happy that I did my due diligence in my search. The desk is the perfect size, and meets all my needs. The book case on the side was perfect. I could not be happier with this purchase. I did not put it together myself- I hired a local handy man who did it in less than an hour. I am so very happy with my purchase. I added a standing desk contraption that raises my laptop and big monitor as I need it to work standing. I highly recommend it!!

Small and Sturdy

I had searched for months for a smaller desk, nice enough for an adult to use, that didn't have an astronomical price attached to it. While this desk was missing some key elements I was looking for (drawers), it was the closest I had found and I was getting frustrated with my search. I put it together with the help of my 12 year old daughter. I will say the directions were horrible. It is like IKEA directions (no words), but even worse without knowing which direction shelves and legs should be. Pay close attention to the drawings, in order to put it together correctly the first time. Once it was all together, it is a beautiful, sturdy set and I am happy with how it came together in my small space. I bought two wooden divided containers for the two desk shelves to use as storage for small desk items, and I purchased a desk top organizer for pens/paper/files. Even with adding the organizer, tissue box, lamp, and cell phone holder stand to the top of the desk, I still have plenty of room for my laptop and a writing space. The bookshelf is small, but works for my space and holds what I need it to. I placed a small printer on the bottom shelf and a separate 3-drawer organizer on the next biggest shelf. I am very pleased with this set. I would recommend for anyone needing an "office" in a small space.

Great price, high quality

I bought this for my daughter room. Very sturdy. Easy setup. Looks great. For a small area dorm or child's homework desk and shelf. Very versatile. Can be one unit or separate .. really impressed. Also it shipped quickly.

Nice desk for the money

I assembled this myself and had no trouble putting it together (66 yrs young). I bought it for the design and have had no regrets. the desk and the shelf are two separate pieces which makes this an even more versatile combination of furniture. The construction is quite good and substantial. It's a sturdy piece and should last for a long time. I have all my computer needs in one handy location. The shelving unit is holding 2 printers at the present time with no complications. Love this purchase and would recommend it.

Perfect for small/mid size spaces

I love this set! It is perfect for smaller areas and holds just enough. The color is perfect, more of a gray wash instead of brown/tan. Easy to assemble for one person.

Great desk and bookshelf

This is a great desk and bookshelf. I enjoy that they were easily assembled. They have been moved around quite a few times since the start of the quarantine b/c of the "work from home" situation naturally, and it has held up for sure. I really do love this.

looks very nice, very sturdy

My son wanted a modern looking desk set in his room. I don't normally choose furniture that I have to assemble due to the cheap look, but found this metal and wood set to be an acceptable compromise. It was easy to put together, and it is very sturdy, and full sized. It's everything he wanted for his gaming monitor, and the shelves although small, support his console and other items very well. The bookshelf is a nice, sturdy, space-saving size. He loves it!

Sturdy desk with modern look.

I have had this for awhile now. Is nice and sturdy with an attractive modern look. If you can put together something from IKEA you can definitely put this together. The wood is not just a laminated wood but has some texture to it like real wood. If you do need to write I would suggest having something underneath the piece of paper. The table itself is very sturdy and it does not sway when you are using it like some cheaper desks.

NOT SATISFIED.

I was really looking forward to this desk and shelf, and everything was up to my expectations until I started putting the desk together. The instructions were fine and self explanatory, but the actual wood piece for the bottom shelf for the desk AND the top of the desk itself did not match the holes that the screws were supposed to go. VERY DISAPPOINTED. NOT IMPRESSED.

Love the desk, wish they had other color options. Really didn't take too long to assemble, all pieces were avail. Very simple w/ enough instructions. Def recommend for a small space, I have a large monitor on the desk, set the printer on a desk shelf, fits perfectly, not the best arrangement but it works. Love the shelf, can put books and other decorations.

This is the best little desk/bookcase set! The desk is small enough to fit into almost any room. And yet, the writing surface area seems huge! My husband had both items together and in place in about an hour with zero assistance. Both items are sturdy and not wobbly at all. And even the top book shelf is large enough to hold regular paperback-sized books. The shelves under the desk are a very nice size also. And, in fact, one of the shelves is holding our all in-one-printer with zero over-hang! The metal is a dark charcoal gray and the wood also has a gray finish. It looks very smart! We are extremely happy with this set.

Great sturdy desk

This is a great desk and bookcase for the price. Easy to put together. Very sturdy. Would love for it to have the option of having the desk shelves on either side but i made it happen anyway but center screws won't line up with desk top if you do that. But even so its still super sturdy no wobble.

Perfectly suitable for its intended purpose

Easy to assemble small desk and very bare. Perfect for minimalists who like the modern industrial décor that seems to be the trend. Assembly was straightforward and rather simple. Metal frame is sturdy enough and lends enough weight and makes it solid. Would have been better if the wood was not pressed. Some damage in the corners of the desk main writing surface due to shipping and handling. There really is not a lot of padding (styrofoam not dense enough) in the corners of the box.

[Rewarded Review] Awesome unit for small jobs

I bought this to put in an extra bedroom as a sort of office for household bills and work I must bring home. It holds my computer and other office necessities. It went together very easily with just me and is more sturdy than I expected. I am very satisfied with this purchase. Not too big for such a small area.

Great purchase for a great price

I was apprehensive about purchasing a desk and bookcase that I'd have to build myself, but once I received (and built the items) I couldn't be happier. The directions were clear (every single piece in the box is numbered) and I was able to construct the items without help. Desk is sturdy and the bookcase is the perfect height. Love the color and recommend this product. Was not disappointed in the slightest.
