This particular size lock was rather hard to find!

It fits the application for which it was purchased perfectly. I needed a lock for the tongue on my small utility trailer that we use to haul my husband and my electric mobility scooters. It needs a small enough diameter shank to go the provided opening and also long enough to straddle the loop of the ball lock it is applied in conjunction with.

The brass bodied locks do what they are supposed to do, lock things. For locking wall lockers and the like, I prefer the slimmer profile of these locks over the traditional stacked variety.

This is a sturdy piece and the the length of the lock makes it easy to hook in several gasps that may be needed or in locking two parts that just don't quite fit perfectly and it bridges the gap. The key works smooth about 75% of time, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. But I would definitely recommend this product for special applications.
