Cheap Looking Plastic Base
Admittedly I missed that the base was plastic, but the poor quality of the plastic molding process and the weak color makes this thing look so cheap. Had to return it. Even if the price was cut in half, it wouldn't be worth it. Found another pole at that other store that is black aluminum from pole to base.

After a long search on the internet and locally, I finally purchased 2 of these poles. They were well packed and in great shape when I picked them up from the local HD store. They are very well constructed with great quality. They did come with fasteners which I wasn't expecting to get.
