Just OK

This item says and pictures it as a platform bed, but even with a 12" mattress, there was a huge gap between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the headboard. Also, there aren't nearly enough supports underneath to hold just the mattress without some sagging eventually occurring, so we had to buy boxsprings. The color of the ivory is VERY light and kind of blah. Which there were better colors, in a different material

Very nice

I really like this bed. The color is not a navy blue, as I thought the photo showed. That curtain is navy blue for comparison. Depending on what angle you're looking at the headboard, it can look a blue, blue green, also. The only thing I didn't like is the side rail is in two pieces so there's a joint with a small gap.

Nice Bed frame and headboard

Love the headboard material, design and color. The look was exactly what I wanted. Bed came without instructions but luckily I found them online. There was also one damaged piece of wood, but faced inside so not really an issue. Overall we are happy with it.

Blue Velvet Bed

Nice looking bed. All parts and hardware were included along with decent assembly instructions. Took about 2.5 hours to assemble. Wasn't difficult, just took time to screw in all the screws. At the end I couldnt get the rails on the bottom of the bed so I ripped the velvet fabric. Its hidden by the bed so not a big deal (I hope). The bed seems sturdy once assembled, but it's only me and no little ones to jump or shake the bed. I'm deducting a star for the hard legs around the bed that I keep hitting with my toe!! Need a solution for that. Otherwise it's a nice bed.

Beautiful Headboard!

Beautiful navy blue headboard. My mattress is on a platform which is more narrow than this headboard bur mattress holds it back against wall. Nice matte fabric. Cat even claws it sometimes and it doesnt show! Nice silver tone accents. Great buy!

Bad design

This bed came with no instructions, was missing a part and two of the parts were damaged. We had to remake parts to work. The wood is glued together (not one piece) and we do not think the frame will last very long. Thankfully we purchased this for our summer home and will only be using the bed a few times a year. It also requires a boxspring which we did not know until after we put it together.

Fine for a guest room.

I like the look of this bed but the quality is lacking. I would not recommend this for every day use but it's been fine in a guest room. It feels a bit flimsy. When I opened the box the hardware was not bagged and spilled out everywhere. Had to supplement with a few additional screws we had at home because we couldn't find them all.

Bad quality, though nice looking

Cute for a kids bed, but flimsy and very low to the ground, so would not work well for adults. Only has 4 thin wood slats going hortizontally, so our new mattress sags down between the slats. I bought some bunkie board for $80 so hopefully that will help, but I was disappointed that I needed so much extra support. Also the side legs of the bed are slightly unstable, and right at the edge in perfect toe-stubbing position. It looks cute, and it will work for my 3 year old, but the quality is poor and I can’t imagine it lasting more than a few years.

Happy with purchase

The bed came with no damage or missing parts which a plus considering bad experiences with other retailers. I was concerned at first when I saw that the feet were made of plastic material but then saw there were other sturdier support for the center of the bed. I’ve had the bed for almost two months and have had no problems (so far). My husband and I sleep on it and I’m about 115 lbs and he’s about 205 lbs. We’re both very happy but will definitely update if any issues come up.

Unstable and came with bad parts

The headboard is nice & it is very easy to put together, however not sturdy AT ALL. They give 4 skinny wooden slats to support the entire box spring and mattress. It is so unstable. I am 115 pounds & consistently wobbled and dipped in areas. One of my four wooden slats didn’t even fit, it was entirely too short and unusable. I am very disappointed.

Beautiful Headboard

Was hesitant on ordering a fabric headboard, however since this is in a guest bedroom it won't be having daily usage. Purchased the stone color, very nice neutral color. What sets this aside from other fabric headboards, in my opinion, is the silver nail trim finish as well as the rich look of the fabric. The headboard has crisp clean lines and was a great price. Delivery was quick and the only assembly required was to add the legs onto the headboard. Highly recommend!

The color is PERFECTION!

I absolutely LOVE the color of the Porch & Den Olney Blue Velvet Upholstered Bed! I only opened it to check- I have not installed yet so no advice regarding that. All of the supplies are actually in the headboard, which I thought was pretty cool, but the cloth part ripped a little, which is my only complaint. But it's on the back so it will not be seen.

Very sturdy and very attractive

I am very satisfied with this beautiful headboard. It is very well made; the legs are wide and supportive; it doesn't rock. The color is perfect; so versatile; would go with creamy whites, cool grays or even blacks and taupes. The chrome nailhead trim is attractive.

Beautiful Headboard

Great quality, strong and sturdy headboard frame. The color was the perfect blue color that I wanted and matched exactly what I saw online. Nothing was off centered, holes in the headboard frame aligned nicely with no problem to insert the bed railings. No problem to set up, looks great in bedroom.

Pretty but will show scuff marks

Lovely bed! Got it in a full size because the space was not big enough for a queen +. The fabric is soft but not forgiving. Be careful when assembling so you don't scuff it. Directions are clearly written and took less than an hour with two people and an electric screwdriver to assemble. The silver rivets make it fun to decorate with silver accessories.

Cute but had blue marks on headboard

I had this headboard in a queen size and loved it so much I bought it in a king when we upgraded our mattress. It is so cute and good quality/price but there was blue markings on the top of the headboard. They are small but you don't want to spend money on something and have it come with flaws. Overall I like the headboard.

Great design! Would buy again!

I've never had an upholstered bed before! And this did not disappoint. Love the nailhead trim against the dark blue fabric. So happy I bought this for a really nice guest room! The blue is not a traditional navy. It almost goes a little toward a deep navy-teal-blue. On it's own, navy is what you would call it. But if you put it against something else that's a true navy, you'll see the difference. Very happy!

Velvety, rich looking bed on a budget

I was really impressed when I unboxed this piece. I wasn't expecting much, but the material is much more rich feeling than I was thinking it would be for the price. It was easy to put together and overall I'm very happy with this purchase. My only issue is that the headboard is a little shorter than I imagined. I have a 14-inch mattress and had a 9-inch box spring sitting on top of the slats, but it sat so high that the headboard nearly disappeared! I took the slats out and put the box spring on the floor and it made thinks look more "normal," but I'd like my bed to sit a little higher. I would recommend this bed if you're looking for a Velvety feeling, rich looking bed on a budget.

Blue Sexiness Bed

After having my Canopy bed (also ordered from here) felt it was time for something new. I logged in and took a look at the beds as well as read the reviews. Saw this one and ordered since it was in my current price range. It arrived on time and I thought it was so cool that all the pieces were neatly packed in the headboard. I had all the pieces and screws. Putting it together really was easy and I did it by myself. It fits the room perfectly and the color was perfect. I did a test lay down and it felt sturdy. Hopefully it will stand the real test when it's time :-) Hats off to overstock for a good product.
