Love it except for one thing…

This is my second Stages sink in as many years because we recently had to replace our kitchen countertops yet again. The sink drains well, it’s quiet, and I have no issues with anything structural. The Kohler accessories that came with the Stages sink were fine and I like them. However, as a “workstation” product, this sink definitely needs to come with a custom drying shelf and colander that fits on the inside tracks. It’s not very convenient without these two accessories. Most people don’t want to buy an expensive workstation sink, only to end up with generic one-size-fits-all accessories that lay across their countertops, awkwardly straddling the sink. This seems crazy. At the very least, Kohler should’ve offered a custom fit drying rack and colander as add-on accessories for those who want to buy them.

Beautiful Functional Sink

We installed this sink in our newly renovated kitchen. It is beautiful as well as very functional. So glad we have it. Now everyone wants to prep meals and do the dishes!

Perfect sink for me

I’ve been using this sink since Dec of 2021. It isn’t noisy like some other stainless sinks. I love all of the features and accessories. I haven’t had any issues cleaning it. It’s easy for me to clean. I have a Kohler Graze faucet with a strong fan spray and it works great to push everything into the drain. Only downside is the price, but you do get many accessories with this sink, and they’re all high quality. Be sure to purchase extra feet covers for the metal rack because these do wear out eventually. Because of the size, I rarely fill up this sink with water. I use a small Joseph dishpan in the sink for washing utensils and small items. I love being able to clean my cookie sheets and oversized pots in a single basin. The stainless shelf is great for thawing meat. I found a bamboo dish drainer that fits inside the stainless shelf. To me, this sink is worth what I paid in 2021. The price has increased by several hundred dollars since then.

Worth every penny

I've had this sink for 10 years now and still LOVE it. I'm getting ready to remodel another kitchen and wouldn't think of putting a different sink in. If your kitchen is actually used (and not just a show piece) you will never regret buying this sink. It's a workhorse and its size is exactly what you need for large pots.

Be forewarned – Not ideal for cleaning

We have owned this sink for over 2 years. Unfortunately, the angle of the bottom is not very steep and thus, water alone is not sufficient to move remaining food particles to the drain. Every night we remove the sink rack and use our hands to move the food particles to the drain, turn on the water to clean the bottom and then replace the sink rack (which must be cleaned on a regular basis). At this price point we would expect that the Kohler engineers could design the angle of the bottom to make the sink easier to clean. We have a porcelain Kohler sink at a second home and the angle of it is sufficient so that water alone is enough to clean the sink without manually moving the food particles to the drain - so we know it is possible. In addition, even though we have tried to minimize the water on the cutting board, it needs to be cleaned regularly and over time, the cutting board has become badly warped.

Many years of awesomeness

We have had this sink in our kitchen for 10+ years and I cannot imagine life without it!

Beautiful and functional sink. I've yet to install it but cannot wait.

Favorite Sink Ever!!

I love this sink! It is the perfect size and is so easy to keep clean and looking new!

I really like the size of this sink but unfortunately it scratches too easily. After installing it just a few weeks ago we notice scratches in the wet prep area of the sink. My son likes to set the plates there when he washes them. We can't get the scratches out. They advertise "durable" sink and I don't call a plate scratching the sink "durable".

This is the best sink ever made if you are a cook. Kohler thought of everything.

Great features!!

I LOVE this sink!! The size is fantastic for serious chefs and the built in drain board is great for preparing meats, chicken and fish. I use the drop in cutting board multiple times a day, even to make a sandwich. The sink is great for quick clean up. I only wish it came in other materials. I like the stainless steel but my OCD does not like showing scratches.

Hard to maintain

Just read Kohlers website on cleaning/care. Impossible to keep clean, especially if you have hard/mineral water. It is attractive when first installed but quickly becomes stained and scratched. Kohler recommends blotting not wiping after each use. Good luck.

Innovative

This sink is not just a high quality sink it is, more importantly, a work station that will change how you prepare food. If you are looking for a sink just to look good - great. If you actually prepare and cook real food then this is what you need. All of your cutting, measuring and prep work is done over the sink itself. Intuitive innovation.

I’ll never buy another thing from Wayfair. The fact they do business with the outsourced border detention centers is reprehensible. THEY HAVE NO ETHICS!

The 45" stage sink by Kohler

I'm really happy with the design. I wish they made the bottom protector hole bigger so that I could remove the strainer no problem. Very functional. I got the 45 " one and it does not appear to be big once installed.

best sink ever !

i put this in a kitchen with 5 kids! i love the depth and square corners , it maximizes the usefulness of the interior . you can put a big pan in it and still have room for dirty dishes. the sliding containers are very useful for holding all kinds of things , dirty silverware in the small one keeping it out of the bottom of the sink . the chopping block is very heavy (but beautiful) so i will be adding handles and teflon feet but when you run water on it it flows beautifully over the edges of the chopping block but stays in the sink like a good infinity pool! . the same is true of the container trays .. if it overflows the water still goes in the sink not all over the counter ..one installation warning ...the edges of the sink need to be flush with the counter top or the sliding trays and items wont fit onto the rail.. .
