It's a steel.
For $599 this was a steal. Pun intended. Well built The directions were not the best but it's not hard to figure out. The only advice I wouldn't give as to take the blue plastic protective sheets off the pieces before you put it together. Oh and where the protect your hands from The sharp edges.
