I have used this type of grinder for about 6-8 years. Looks and works well. Disappointed when the pepper grinder broke. Was happy to find Oxo warranty details and file a claim. Was ecstatic when a replacement arrived within a week or two. Oxo certainly stands behind their products and their warranty.

[Rewarded Review] I’m concerned about longevity

I have 5 of these pepper mills that I purchased between 15 and 4 years ago. While I appreciate the design, I continue to have problems with the grinding mechanism. After too short a time, the adjustment mechanism fails, and the grinder separates from the unit, resulting in a coarse, cracked peppercorn when set on the finest grind. While I’m pleased with OXO’s customer service (they replaced two of them), I’m more concerned about fixing the design feature that makes this happen.

I love my Oxo salt and pepper grinders. They look good ond work great. Adjustable grind size gives me flexibility for cooking or at the table.

I have had my set for over 15 years before I needed a new set. They have been my " Go to" salt and pepper grinders for cooking, dinner and company. They're just beautful... I cannot see having anything else.

What A Mess

I am never seen such a consulates way to ship an OXO Pepper Grinder. The box it was shipped in was at least 18”x18”. There want any bubble wrap around the grinder and the seal broke open, so needless to say, the peppercorns were rolling all around the box. The shipping method was horrible. What happened to the USPS? It was shipped all over the SE United States. So sad to see this happening to a once reliable form of shipping and a once reliable company to purchase from.

Great pepper mill

I had already purchased the salt mill matching this and was so pleased with it I bought the pepper one too. The design is spot on and it is easy to use and refill. They replaced a set which (like these) had the adjustable grind feature but they were pretty poor compared with this set.

The best Pepper Mill

This was bought as an identical replacement for my original oxo which still functioned but the see through mill was cracked all the way round and didnt look good.

Very good product. Choice of grind size works well and grinder easy to hold. Good idea to have grinder at top to stop leakage. Pleased with purchase.

Warranty replacement pepper grinder

I was extremely impressed by the way my warranty claim was handled. Excellent customer service. The pepper grinder was also excellent. Use many OXO products and can’t say enough good things about them. Keep up the good work.

Replacement as per your guarantee.

I purchased this item about 5 years ago and use it almost every day. The grind selector became misaligned possibly due to stripping and it no longer ground the peppercorns to fine or medium. I contacted your customer service and the representative arranged for a new replacement. I am very pleased with all the OXO products I own.

Pleased with purchase

I am very happy with my purchase. The pepper mill looks good, works well and is comfortable to hold. The design feature that when stored the grater is facing upwards is excellent so there are no spills. I have taken one off because when using the grater to produce larger pieces of pepper it is then often difficult to return the dial to its original position due to the fact that pieces of pepper have got wedged in the grating mechanism. I am however very pleased with my purchase and would happily recommend.

Oxo replaced the same pepper grinder I had had for quite some time for free without a lot of hassle. Actually the representative was pleasant and even funny (referring to the kaput pepper grinder as a paper weight 😂). Thank you OXO for standing behind your product!

OXO Good Grips pepper mill

Fabulous design. Well thought out. Quality item. I’ve been looking for a really good pepper mill for ages and this one ticks all the boxes. I bought it with the matching salt mill. I’m delighted that I can adjust the size of the grind. No more choking on large pieces of pepper. I’m even contemplating getting another set to go in my cooking condiments cupboard and replace the disposable ones!

Great grinder

Had other brands but they end up falling apart. Whilst it maybe more expensive I always return to OXO as their products just work! Won’t waste my money on inferior quality elsewhere again.

Accent Mess-Free Pepper Grinder

Love OXO products and you recently sent a replacement pepper grinder (extremely generous); however the replacement grinder seems to be even more coarse of a grind. My hope had been to somehow obtain a more fine grind for using pepper on prepared dishes, as well as for guests preferring it.

Solid, adjustable not spilling mill

We have the salt mill which is excellent. Both mills are solidly built and good for not leaving salt/pepper under them on the table. Don’t find the grinder on the pepper mill as efficient as the one on the salt mill. The grinders adjust to suit the size of grain required.

Great grinders!

At last! I’ve struggled to find a pair of salt and pepper grinders for kitchen use that work for more than a year! These salt and pepper grinders are a sensible weight which make you think quality; pleasing design; comfortable to hold; easy to refill (previous grinders had curved tops so when inverted to fill.... would topple over); wide opening makes refilling easy; smooth adjustable grind and no mess left on surfaces/table after use. And to back it up a lifetime manufacturer’s guarantee. What’s not to like?!

Slow and dirty

2 problems with this expensive grinder: (1) Poor throughput. Was expecting this beefy looking grinder to deliver plenty of pepper in a short time. The only way I could get a half decent throughput was to set it to a coarser grind setting than I actually wanted. Even then it was sub par. (2) There's no way to clean it. Any grinder with a transparent pepper corn holder needs to be dismantled once in a while to clean away the pepper dust that accumulates over time. This one became so dirty I couldn't actually see the pepper corms anymore! Switched to another retailer's " spice mill", £5 - much better!
