Get a tool set for this "pre-assembeled" cabinet

Got this delivered and it was in a box unassembled. Website shows it is preassembled.

Good Cabinet

For cleaning & bathroom supplies. American Made. Weight limit per shelf is 150 lbs. Methodical assembly by 1 man went well, good instructions. Front of top cabinet piece was slightly bent outward which required straightening to allow the doors to noiselessly close. One shelf front edge was also bent that required straightening. No scratches anywhere but the packaging allowed the taller parts to crush which caused the bent pieces. This cabinet is OK but my next cabinet will be the Tennsco 1870 Deluxe Cabinet for thicker gauge steel.

I ordered this model by mistake. I had previously ordered the pre-assembled (Global branded)cabinet and was very happy with them. This unassembled version by tennsco is not nearly the same quality and you have to assemble it. Spend the extra $ and get the pre-assemble one!

We use the cabinet in a construction office. Very sturdy.

Would be great without the dents

It seems sturdy enough for my purposes and it wasn’t too hard to put together. But it was very dented. At first I thought the dents occurred during shipping, but as I pulled each piece out of the box, I could see that most of the dents came from the inside out. They could not have been caused by something pressing against the box, so it must have been damaged at the factory. To close the latch, I have to press hard on the top, bottom and middle as I turn the handle.

you don't ship something on a 40 foot tractor trailer truck into a mobile home park, it just doesn't work, I have to meet the truck out on the main street and the driver put the unit in the back of my car. I am handicapped, so this was a big, big, drawback.

The doors do not lock.tried to get new ones but was told we would have to get a new unit after we spent 3 hours putting them together..wanted us to put original units back in original cartons. ImpossibleSo now we're stuck with two cabinets we cannot secure very sorry we made ths purchase

you get what you pay for...cabinet is okay...but it makes noises when i open or close it...there were here and there small dents but we fixed it...i don't regret buying it coz other brands are so expensive...best part of the cabinet is the key(lock) facility.

These cabinets have really made a big difference in storing a lot of my cooking and baking appliances, etc. My kitchen cabinets don't accommodate everything and I hated having a lot of things stuck out on the countertop. I bought two cabinets and put them in my garage. One I use for kitchen appliances, baking pans, etc. The other I use for office supplies. Perfect. I especially like the adjustable shelves which make it possible to keep some of the boxes I may need in the future, e.g., Kitchenaid stand-mixer box.

Tennsco standard cabinet - awful

Not the best storage cabinet but adequate for our needs for past several years. Have purchased many of them so familiar with putting them together. This time the 'lock plate' or think they call it 'cam lock' did not fit properly at all - called staples who also had rep from Tennsco on. Waste of time, my partner was fed up and just hammered it in place just to get it over with. Now it doesn't even close properly let alone lock. Will never buy again!

storage cabinet

Works well but took me and my son a lot longer than the 20 minutes suggested. It would have helped a lot if on two or three of the pieces a little sticker with the number or letter were applied. I assume it is meant for the professional builder types or handyman type and we are just homeowners. We got faster with the other units though. Also I had ordered an additional two shelves which did not arrive with the cabinets and were really not needed so I don't mind as long as I wasn't billed for them!
