For Closet Bypass Doors Needed Maguyver Move

Since my tracks are parallel I had ro reverse the wheels on the front door to properly install the bracket on the back side of the door so the wheels faced the same direction as the back door to hang the front door. Very confusing as the directions show the same type of track. Maybe these are for shower doors? I don’t know but I made it work. It was hard to find a set with these smaller 3/4” wheels and the right offset so I had to make it work. I didn’t want to replace the whole kit and kaboodle! (That’s track and rollers for those who’ve never heard that term)

I fixed my closet doors as soon as I received this pair of rollers.

It worked wasn’t exactly the same but it did work.

Works on Hanging-style Sliding Shower Doors

You can use these on the hanging-style sliding shower doors (popular in the bathrooms of houses built in the 1970s and 80s). 1. Carefully remove the hanging door assemblies from their tracks and safely position for accessing the top. 2. Take off the screw holding the new polymer wheel to the frame piece; keep the hardware. 3. Noting which hole was used, remove the old wheel and hardware from the shower door frame top. 4. Replace with the new wheel and hardware. 5. Repeat the process for the other three (3) wheels of the set. 6. While you are at it, clean out the accumulated grime and debris from the track channel before carefully rehanging the doors in the track. It is a pretty simple process. "Works good; lasts long time."

I was able to remove the actual roller part of these pieces and attach them to the already installed holders on my shower doors - they worked great!

Not properly made

Replaced old rollers on sliding closet doors with those set. They are the only ones I could find that would fit the original track. The back set fit great, the front set was not manufactured with the right offset. Had to put the roller on the other side of brackets just to get the door to fit. The downfall to doing this is that the door is off balance and doesn’t slide as easily as the rear door.
